BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP!!! Her alarm clock bellowed next to her. With a grunt, she rolled over and hit the off button. She had been having a strange dream, in fact, the same dream she had been having since she was two and her Mom caught her talking to a deer. She was laying in a pile of leaves and a fox was leaning over her, gave a yip, licked her cheek, and ran. Then her mother tripped over her, picked her up, and took her home. She never understood what this dream meant but she couldn't sit around all day. She got up and saw herself in her mirror. She was 5'4 with bright red hair that reached the floor and caramel brown eyes. She is wearing a pair of purple shorts and a tan tank top. She grabbed out a pair of blue jeans which were ripped at the knees and a ripped up t-shirt. It is only her and her mom so who cares if the clothes are ripped up? She then runs downstairs to the smell of fried eggs, sausage, and fresh cut oranges. She sat at one of the two stools by the counter and watched her mom finish preparing breakfast. Her mother is 5'6 with auburn hair and blue eyes. Autumn never knew what her father looked like, but she decided not to ask. As Autumn's mom sat down they ate mostly in silence. They had the windows open so they could hear the sounds of the forest. The chirping of birds, the whoosh of the creeks, the rustling of the leaves in the wind. It is summer time and it is a cooler day, it is only 75 degrees. After they finish breakfast they wash the few dishes they used and head outside. First, they go to take care of the chickens, pigs, and cows, then they go to pick oranges and apples from their orchard, and then they head out into the forest to pick wild berries and collect roots. After all these chores they return to the house and put things away and then they head out to the meadow.
