Autumn woke with the sun in her face and Ivory snuggled up blocking the entrance. Autumn looked around with confusion at the cave and began to try thinking about how she got here when Ivory woke up. Ivory stretched with her paws in front of her and purred with delight. "How did I get here?" Autumn asked trying to remember walking to this cave. Ivory made sure to picture herself dragging Autumn to the cave so that Autumn could see for herself. Autumn saw this in Ivory's mind and looked at her with concern. "What happened?" Autumn asked immediately, "Why was I knocked out?". Ivory tried to think of a better way than just showing Autumn the image of her falling 15 feet and hitting the ground. But it was too late, Autumn saw it and tried to stand up quickly, smacking her head off of the cave ceiling. Autumn sat back down, rubbed her head, and said they should continue. Ivory didn't always like this new form of communication. When Autumn was younger they would actually talk to each other, but as Autumn has grown she has been starting to communicate telepathically. It prevented others from hearing whatever they are talking about but there were very few secrets. Ivory made sure not to think about Autumn's past because if she knew, who knows what would happen. Autumn grabbed some trail mix and water out for them and they split that bit, then Autumn packed it all back in the bag and crawled out of the cave. She recognized her surroundings immediately and jumped up happily, realizing they were half way there. She hadn't been to the fox den since she was 12 when she had wandered off from her mom. Her mom had been so worried that day when she later found Autumn sitting next to the creek talking to twelve to thirteen foxes. Ivory came out of the cave and began walking towards the den. Autumn started walking and realized how bad her leg hurt, she looked down and realized that she had cut her leg and twisted her ankle. She called Ivory back, pulled out her first aid kit and began cleaning the cut. She then wrapped a bandage around her leg and then she made a brace for her ankle. They continued walking towards the den.
