As Autumn and her mom return home they say goodnight and get ready for bed. Avery went up to her room and thought about her daughter. Autumn's birthday was in three days and she had to figure out what to get her. As Avery changed into her blue shorts and her purple t-shirt she thought of something. Autumn had been wanting a chance to go in the forest by herself. She is turning 14 in three days so maybe she could use a walkie talkie set. Autumn changed back into her shorts and tank top and went to bed thinking about what she would do tomorrow. Perhaps mom will take me in the forest again to the fox's den so I can talk to them she thought happily. As Autumn and her mom fall asleep in their rooms a fox slips into the house and heads upstairs to Autumn's room. What could this fox be up to? When the fox gets in Autumn's room it jumped up onto her bed and snuggled against her. Autumn rolled over and pulled the fox closer to her, this is the fox she has named Ivory. As Ivory snuggled closer Autumn begins having the strange dream again. Autumn is in the pile of leaves again as a baby. There is a fox that looks very familiar to her that is leaning over her looking with that bright red fur and those caramel eyes. And the bright white cheeks and ears. She swears she recognizes her. The fox leans down and kisses her cheek. Then the fox gave that yip and scampered off. As Autumn continued to lay there a woman came along. The woman has auburn hair and has blue eyes. She is carrying a basket and is collecting wild berries. The woman trips over her and notices Autumn lying there. She picked her up and looked around, then she carried her home. The woman is her mom. Then the dream skipped to when she was two years old talking to a deer at the edge of their little clearing in the forest and her mom ran out and saw. Her mom was confused, grabbed her hand and led her inside. As Autumn grew up in her dream she continued talking to all of the animals in the forest. BEEP BEEP BEEP!! It is 7:00 in the morning again. Ivory is still snuggled up against Autumn. She gently picked Ivory up and set her on the pillow.
