Ryder.
When I got to my own class, biology, I couldn't concentrate which wasn't like me at all. I'm usually the one in the class that's always on the ball and ready to answer my teachers if and when they ask the class a question. Not this class, not today.
'Here mate, where were you last night?' I heard someone ask, which pulled me out of my day dream. What was I even thinking about? I turned around to see that it was Mark, a friend of Kyles.
I didn't want to tell him that I was at Jamie's house because of what happened yesterday so kept my answer vague. 'Just out and about, why what's up?'
I couldn't care less why he was asking or what was going on but I have no idea what we are doing in class at the minute so didn't see any reason not to have a conversation with him.
'Well, you know how Kyle got punched by that crazy bitch Jamie?' He said so casually.
As soon as I hear Jamie's name, he had my full attention. The teacher was too busy marking some other classes homework to care if the class spoke which was a bonus for me because I now definitely wanted to talk.
I nodded my head for him to continue trying to make it look as if I wasn't overly bothered about hearing his story about Jamie.
'Well, turns out Kyles dad is furious and is coming into the school later to talk to the head about what Jamie's punishment is.'
Even though Kyle is my friend, I didn't want Jamie getting into trouble. She might be a badass, but she won't be able to scheme her way out of a punishment from Mrs Greta, especially if it is due to a complaint coming from out with the school.
'Did Kyle ask his dad to come in?' I enquired, wondering if it was so I could convince him to change his mind and just forget about it.
Mark nodded. At that moment, I knew how I could same Jamie but also have a little fun.

At break, I walked over to our table and sat down along with Luke waiting for Kyle to come just hoping that his dad wasn't already on his way, or worse, here. After what felt like a life time I see Kyle walking around the corner with Mark. They part and Kyle heads over to our table and I take a glance over to Jamie's table and catch her eye. 'You can thank me later.' I mouthed to her just before Kyle sat down and I could see in the corner of my eye once I turned the confused look on Jamie's face and held in a laugh.
'Hey, bro.' I greeted Kyle.
'Alright?' He replied so casually.
'I heard your dads coming in to complain about Jamie punching you yesterday.' I brought up. He looked at me as if to say how-did-you-know. 'Mark told me.' I looked at Jamie's table one last time, this time not catching her eye and said, 'I think I have a better way of getting her back without your dad coming in and getting the school involved.'
Kyle gave me a funny look, and when I turned to Luke, he had a face of curiosity. I gave them a smirk and we all turned to look at the girls table. One by one they turned, Jamie last. But the whole time, I had my eyes on Jamie.

When the end of the day came around, our plan was all set up and ready to go. I left my class early to go and see Jamie's face as she sees what we have done. I waited for the bell to go as I waited at the other side of the hall for Jamie to come out of her classroom. The bell rang and people started to exit from all doors, desperately in need to get home after spending all day trapped in school. However, they stopped in their tracks to see the posters all over the walls.
Then I see her. She walks out of English looking annoyed, and she is going to get a big shock. I watch her as she realises people aren't leaving and they are looking at the posters scattered all over the walls. She then turns to her friends receiving blank stares and goes to find out for herself what they say. I make sure that when she grabs the poster, I'm in plain sight to her.
'What the fuck?' she screams and people turn to her and stare and start to speak.
-PARTY AT JAMIE CHAMBERS' HOUSE
34 COOKER DRIVE, 8PM
EVERYONE INVITED-
The posters were grabbed and torn by Jamie in a sudden rage and that's when she saw me. I knew she knew I was behind it and I started to laugh to myself.
She stopped in her tracks and dropped the torn pieces of paper in the middle of the hall, people started to stare and stop to watch what was about to go down. Although, all she done was stare and me and grin.
'Yea, that's right.' She looked around to everyone to make sure they were all listening to pass on the message. 'Be there or be square.' She finished with her eyes landing on me.
As everyone started to scurry to tell anyone that wasn't there, Jamie left her friends and came over to me.
'Party, huh?' I said as though I was acting surprised.
'Yea, thought it would be a good idea you know.' She paused and stared at me, 'all my idea.'
I stood there and watched her smug look at matched it with my own. Looking around the corridor to make sure everyone was gone, I leaned in towards her and brushed her ear like I did yesterday thinking that she was going to step back or push me away. However, surprising she stayed in the same spot and didn't move. God her hair smelt amazing.
I turned my face inwards to her ear more so she would get the brunt of the hot air coming out my mouth as I spoke.
'So, will I get to see you in your knickers tonight again?' I whispered to her. As soon as I finished speaking, I felt as though she moved closer to me like she wanted me to continue. But I assumed it was just my imagination and stood back into my original position of upright.
What happened next surprised me more than ever. Jamie grabbed the back of my neck as she pulled herself towards me and pushed me backwards crashing into the wall. She pulled at my neck and I obliged expecting her to kiss me. I closed my eyes as my head still moved towards hers, but I didn't encounter her lips, her lips came in contact with my ear. She blows her hot air in my ear before starting, 'over my dead body.'
With that she let go of the back of my neck letting my head lift slightly so that our noses were almost touching.
Still with my back shoved against the wall, all I could think of was Jamie and how I love being this close to her. Keeping my cool, I lifted my head right up so that I was standing tall above her as an attempt to make myself look superior.
'We will see about that.' I say giving her a little shove to get her off me and then slip away from the wall walking backwards away from her as I kept my stare with her.
Just before I turned around, I asked, 'You looking for a ride home?' With that she crossed her arms in an attempt to look angry but I could see the smile she was trying to hide.
'Well, yea. It seems I have a party to get ready for.' At that we walked together to my car, not talking but both with smiles on our faces.
