My eyes flutter open, whilst my nose fills with a heavenly scent. I almost start to forget about this nightmare I'm living. Almost.
"Gray, we can't let her go out there, she won't be able to make it. She's too... weak" is heard from somewhere beyond the room, the words are almost a whisper against his.
"Ethan, leave it there! She's going out there and that's fucking final! If she fucking dies, she dies. Gone." I can hear the smile in his voice. "It's not like we care anyway. We've killed a lot of people over the years, what's different about her?" I feel so disgusted that someone can be so heartless and cruel to talk about someone in that way. I just don't understand any of this. I've done nothing to him. It's all a fantasy. It's not real.
Footsteps make their way down the landing until they stop directly outside of the room and that's when I notice, for the first time, I'm in a different room. The walls painted white and the old grey rug upon the dark wooden floor. This room has no life to it.
The door knob starts to turn slower than ever, making me feel anxious to witness the person about to enter. I quickly turn my back to the door and face an empty, lifeless wall. The once footsteps make their way into the bed until arms snake around my waste and a husky voice whispers in my ear "it's okay baby girl." His breath left shivers down my spine which made him slightly chuckle.
Feeling the disgust build up inside of me once again, I don't even give another thought before I pull my left leg up and drive it backwards into his balls. Great, it's only me to have a confidence boost when I have no use for it.
His arms start tightening around my waste and, well, nothing. Nothing else happened? That once evil laugh felt as if it was miles away even when I knew it was close.
"Oh baby girl, stop making me so angry. You don't know the consequences of pissing me off" he warned in a deep voice. I was literally trembling, even in his tight grasp. I felt my breath hitch yet his arms got tighter and tighter and tighter. The monster only stopped when it realised the sun starting to set and the moon starting to rise.
"Get up, it's almost time" he said in a monotone voice. For the first time I turn to face him, still in my trembling state. The site before him was enough to make him smirk that famous evil one.
The man lead me down the stairs like a gentleman, he even gave me something to eat. His attitude changed within seconds. As much as I hate to say it, he's actually being decent all of a sudden. Maybe he isn't as bad as he seems?
Hours that felt like minutes passed and his voice rung once again, "it's time." Before I knew it he already had his hand around my upper arm leading me towards the door. The door opened just as silent as the night. The man next to me lead me further, he came to a stop and so did i, mirroring his actions. He let me go and started walking backwards. "You know the rules" his face started to disappear, I looked towards the house to see Ethan standing there, looking at me, just staring. I only had to blink and within seconds everyone, everything is gone, back to the silence in the eerie, dark night.
A wolf howl is heard before the trees start to come to life and form a maze around me. I'm on my own.
