'I'm on my own.
What did I ever do to deserve any of this?'

I step deeper into the woods, completely ignoring the thoughts of doubt going on in my head.

I find myself walking in deeper every second, not making a noise, just silent.

Finally, I stop to try and make sense of where exactly I'm going. Unable to do so i keep heading straight, hearing another set of footsteps lurking around me. A hot breeze hits the back of my neck, making me slowly turn around. My heart beats a million times with every second daring to occur.

One of them was standing there. On all fours. In front of me.

I gasp, my lips slightly parted in fear. Not knowing what to do, I take off running in the original direction I started going. The... thing follows me matching my speed. I clime the next tree I see so I can get out of the reach of this... werewolf.

Again, not knowing what to do I go with my instinct.

'Find the sharpest branch you can.'

It might not work, but fuck it. It's worth a try.

The wolf was pacing back and forth before it just stopped and stared at something in the distance. I positioned myself right at the edge of the tree I'm sitting on so I could lunge off and onto the wolf, impaling it's neck in the process. That's my plan.

"Let's do this" I whispered to myself, letting go of the tree and pulling the branch up above my head, holding it with both hands. Landing right on the wolfs back, I thrust the dagger like branch into its neck, whimpers echo past every tree and every stone in its way. It falls to the floor inhaling and exhaling fast, staring at me with its huge, beady eyes.

"I'm sorry, I had to" I whisper, bending down to stroke its fury coat, not even feeling the sympathy I should.

Another growl is heard from behind me, making its way closer. The footsteps drag as I stand up swiftly. The wolf runs to me, knocking me over and pinning me to the floor. It's breath invading my space. Little drops of dribble make their way past its lips and onto the ground beside me.

The wolf makes its way closer to my face, growling in the process. I try my hardest to reach for the branch beside me, where it was laying beside the other dying wolf. Without thinking, I forcefully impale the dagger like branch into the wolfs side, making it whine and fall off of me. I am now laying in a pool of blood.

I just lay there, enjoying the silence.
