Chapter 2 : Enemies and complications

It was extremely difficult to separate myself from him but we had to. Now we were each on the other side of the table eating. I besides Charlie (which occasionally an angry and jealous eye towards Charlie called for) and he next to my sister ( who already accepted him in the family). She had immediately known what had happened, and Charlie who also knew what happened, was not really happy with me finding my mate.

I had met Sam's beta which amusingly is called Jacob. Jacob had immediately warned that if I was going to make a Twilight joke he would never talk to me again. I saw that he was joking but heard the warning in his voice. But come on! It's funny that Sam and Jacob are Alpha and beta. Jacob introduced me to his mate (who is not named Renesmee but Lynn). Sam introduced me to a few other members of the pack, but I was not really listening to his words. I was too busy listening to his wonderful voice and focusing on myself so that I would not kiss him in everybody's presence.

Out of nowhere Charlie clears his throat. Shall we go and discuss things in my office?' Samuel nodded and motioned for Jacob to stay here. Charlie did the same with Tom but beckoned me to come along. It was clear that there is also going to ba a talk of us being mates. I followed the two men and closed the door softly behind me. Although they were polite to each other, I felt the tension clearly hanging. 'What do you want to speak about first?' Asked Samuel to Charlie. 'Let's first talk about the loners.' Samuel nodded and tension decreased slightly. 'It's are large groups of loners and they follow a certain wolf, a real beta I could not discover.' 'What does this wolf look like?' 'Blacker than the night with red eyes and bigger than any other wolf you've ever seen, his scent is not to be missed ... he smells like death.' 'Do you think he has a beta?' Charlie asked. 'No, he's not exactly the type to share his authority, he is much stronger than any wolf I've ever come up against even I had no chance against him.' Samuel pulled up his shirt and showed a wound that was clearly been there for more than a few days. 'When did that happen?' Charlie asked shocked. 'On the day of the meeting, they came to our camp and I fought against him, as you can see I was not particularly successful.'

My wolf raged and cursed like a madman again and again with words that are not fit for a lady. But the thought of Samuel fighting with that wolf ... injured .... I squeeze my hands to the back of a chair into fists and crush the whole chair. Samuel and Charlie heard the sound and a weak smile appears on Samuel's face. 'After I lost consciousness, they apparently pulled back, the next day I woke up in our hospital.' 'How many were there in that pack?' 'I do not know, it was all chaos, it was hard enough to keep friend and foe apart.' 'Do you think they'll come to us?' Charlie asked worried. 'I do not know but I hope not for your and your pack's sake.' 'Anything else?' Charlie asked. 'Yes, I want to take Nadya with me to my pack.' Charlie jumped startled out of his chair. 'That's not going to happen!' 'She's my mate Charlie, she explained your situation to me but we belong together.' 'She belongs in this pack!' 'I can not leave without her.' 'Charlie, I've always said that once I'd found my mate, I would go with him.' 'I know, but damn Nad what do I do now?' I hid my eyes and Sam pushed me close to him. 'Do not dare to shift this on to Nadya, she tried to stop and warned you, she went on to keep lying to do you a favor, now it's time to let her go.' 'Nad, you can't be serious about this!' Tears appeared in his eyes and I almost felt sorry for him. 'I'm sorry Charlie, but I want to go with Sam.' Charlie looked at me with pain in his eyes. I knew I hurt him but the thought of having to be separated from Samuel hurt me more than the betrayal that I committed to him. 'If you're sure.'

He sighed sadly. I nodded. 'I'm sure.'

Outside we heard a lot of commotion and I heard several wolves cry loud as warning for us. Charlie rushed past us and ran outside. From the woods I saw a large group of wolves approaching and I could feel my heart pounding in my . " Sam is this ... " "Yes, these are the same as wolves who attacked us ." Get it with difficulty throat. Without thinking I tore out off my clothes and I changed into my wolf. I decided to go with Samuel but for now this is still my home! I jumped through the window and ran after Charlie. I knew I was followed by Sam and even though I could not hear his thoughts, I knew he hated that I was going towards the danger. Although Charlie is still angry about my decision, I soon realized that he was happy to have me at his flank. I had to swallow when I saw how big the wolves are. They are bigger than Charlie and Sam! And Sam is really a huge beast ... I threw myself on the wolf closest to me and bit him in his ear. This he seemed to feel not even a little because he just shook me off and bit me in my leg and pulled me down. I whimpered softly in pain but got right back up. He is huge, but no one is as fast as me! Despite my sore leg, I zigzagged deftly around him and jumped on top of him. As well as I could I drilled my teeth as deep in his broad neck but it did not seem to hurt him. Teeth of a second wolf I felt around my neck and I felt myself being pulled off the big brown wolf was and was thrown away like a dirty old rag doll. When I had recovered myself somewhat I saw a huge black beast with blazing reds eyes, I knew that it was this beast that nearly mauled my mate. In his eyes I read admiration, I felt dirty under his approving glance. He ran his tongue along his lips and came with a wolf's grin at me. I made myself ready for a fight but a fierce growl took both him and me out of concentration. I saw Samuel, and my heart jumped as high as the highest mountain, he is so beautiful in his wolf form ... wait ... I'm in the middle of a fight! Such thoughts I can not use! Certainly not now!
