As Spring trickled by, more baby birds and fawns were sprouting up around the kingdom. Hundreds of children were born, and more ceremonies in which the royal couple kissed babes and blessed toddlers were held. Delphine, being the typical teenage girl, hated these occasions, in which she had to fit in a heavy bejeweled crown and smile.
I mean, seriously. Who would want to have to make a huge effort to keep their head up? She grumbled to herself. She noted the many boys with open jaws, staring at the gorgeous princess who blessed them with her graceful presence. Ah, such a mistake to fall in love with a brat such as Delphine.
