9 - The Sick EMPEROR

The Emperor, the powerful and fearsome man becomes restless and weak in the past few months that the man himself don't know what is happening to him, His ministers are very worried for the health of His Majesty and even the voice of the mechanical bird 'The Diamond' cannot help Him to be calm and at peace for an hour nor for a second. It seems the voice of 'The Diamond' wavered and draining its enchantment spell turns to a normal voice that everybody could hear every day. Also, something is certainly wrong that he always thought which he can't even answer what is what? and his heart, deep inside of his heart started to ache and stings too much painful that he almost felt guilty and regrets without no reasons for him to felt in the first place.

Then on one night like no other nights where he let 'The Diamond' sings for him to lull him to his peaceful sleep but he didn't expect that his peaceful sleep is somewhat drove him down to the depth of nightmares.

In his dream, he saw Himself laying, cold and pale, in his great bed. Thinking that he was already dead, his ministers and his people hurried away to greet the new Emperor who was waiting to take his place. But He was not yet dead. He could feel a heavy weight on his chest.

Opening his eyes, he saw Death sitting on his heart. It had the Emperor's golden crown on its head, and the Emperor's mighty sword in one hand while its other arm warp protectively of a slender man with long hair whose face is blur from his sight as he felt he knew the man and his heart stings once again. Then his vision swirl around him with faces peeped out from behind the two figures. Some were very ugly, some were kind and gentle. They whispered about the good and bad deeds that Emperor Da Guang had done during his life and after, it went black.

A glimpse of light appeared and shone right above of a silhouette of a man while Death was waiting on the other side. The man slowly look up at him with a sad smile written from its lips then a single tear flowed down onto its cheeks and turn to look away from him.

Every step that the man took, walking away from Him that the Emperor wanted to chase the unknown man but his feet glued down on the ground and lastly, the man morphed into a single bird then his vision cleared to see a Nightingale flew towards Death and rested on its shoulder then started to dissolve through the darkness while Death is still looking at him while the Nightingale never look at him one last time.

He shouted at the Nightingale but the bird didn't even look until it disappeared leaving him alone through the darkness in despair and the ground swallowed him whole that he was surprise and wake him up abruptly from it.
