Today was unusual: I am actually early to school, even after coming home, getting ready for school, eating breakfast, and packing a lunch.
When I pulled up to school I was just planning on sitting in my car until the bell rang, but when I saw him I jumped out.
Paul was outside the main entrance to the school, laughing with Jared and Embry.
I ignored the stares I got from classmates and I stormed over, my eyes were narrowed and focused on Paul.
As I came closer the gang stopped laughing. They looked confused, and ready to take off running.
"I need to talk to you." I demanded, not taking my eyes off of Paul.
He looked at Jared and Embry who both had they're mouths hanging open.
I crossed my arms, waiting.
Paul gave the guys a nod, which they returned. They walked away, but only just out of hearing range.
"Are you ok?" Paul gave me a weary look.
I sighed,"No, not really," I tried to think of a way to word this right, but it just came out very blunt,"I need you to tell me what happened to Danica."
Paul's eyes widened in shock,"W-what are you talking about?"
"Stop bullshitting. I know that you know what happened." I tapped my foot impatiently with my arms still crossed.
"Luna...I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about," I couldn't read him's emotions right now, all I knew is that he was hiding something. But today I had no patience.
I scoffed,"I knew I couldn't talk to you. That's how you know how desperate I am."
I pushed past him without waiting for a response.

I tossed and turned all night, not able to fall asleep.
The rest of the week went by slowly. All my family and friends could tell something was up with me, I just brushed it off.
Friday night I had Sierra and Christine over for a sleepover so I could get my mind off of things.
We had a marathon of our favorite t.v. show: the Vampire Diaries, ate a lot of junk food, and after my Aunt and Uncle feel asleep we snuck a bottle of vodka into my room and mixed it into our drinks.
"Try this," I passed Sierra a cup of sprite mixed with a couple shots of vodka.
"Don't trust it!" Christine warned. She had already had a drink and was on her second one.
I was on my third drink, I think.
I placed my finger to Christine's lips,"Shhhhh, don't listen to her! Take a big sip, Sierra."
Sierra tipper her head back and made a face,"Ugh, how much alcohol is in here?"
"Enough to do the job," I giggled.
We didn't pass out until three am, luckily my bed was big enough to fit the three of us.
A girl's night was much needed.

"Do you want to tell me exactly why you can't go to Mike Newton's party?" Christine asked me in the morning.
"I work basically ever Saturday. You know that,"I said to her reflection in my vanity as I applied mascara.
"Work?" She scoffed. "You OWN every company you work for! Can't you just call in sick?"
I snorted,"Who am I going to call!Myself?"
Christine ignored me as she typed a number into her phone and handed it to me as it rang.
"Who am I calling?"
A second later I felt my cell phone vibrated in my pocket. I had an incoming call from Christine.
She giggled,"Aren't you going to answer?"
"Christine, seriously I want to go, but I can't! I'm the owner, it's not like I go clock in and clock out. I'm super busy this week! I have so much inventory to do today at The Fringe. Then I have to go Pacific Pizza and pay all my employees because the new manager somehow messed up the direct deposit and no one got their money yesterday. Then I have to go cover someone's shift over at the Lodge because they called in sick and no one can fill in. Crap! I forgot that I have a Skype meeting at 7:00 tonight with my uncle and the board of the marketing company. I have to call and tell them I'm going to be late. Unless I can see if someone can stay and extra hour at The Lodge. I can't believe I forgot about that meeting!"
Christine groaned,"It sounds lame to me. You could be out with us having fun. Everyone's going me to be there! Even Sierra's parents are letting her go because it's going to be during the day and not past her curfew."
"Who has a party at 3 in the afternoon? "I snorted,"Now that sounds lame."
Christine let out a sound of frustration and then she smiled,"Will you at least let us take your car? You can use one of the many other cars in your family's collection. Oh no, I take that back, I don't want to drive your car! Can I take the Ferrari?" Christine's face lit up with excitement.
"Are you crazy?" I looked at her with real concern for her mental health."My Aunt would kill me if I let anyone else drive her Ferrari!"
"Ok fine. You can take that one, I'll just settle with your car." Christine pouted.
"Fine."
Christine squealed with excitement when I handed her my keys.
"Take care of my little girl, and make sure she's back before 10!" I joked.
"That's not going to be a problem,"Christine frowned,"Sierra has to be back at her house by 9:30."
"You got to be joking! It's Saturday night!" I looked at Sierra for confirmation.
She nodded,"My parents changed my curfew. They're paranoid because of all the murders and disappearances happening in Seattle."
"Seriously? That's like 4 hours away from here! We live in a small town that's next to another small town and not too far from yet another town that is still small, but slightly bigger than the rest of these small towns. Nothing happens here!"
"That's not entirely true..."Christine's voice trailed off and I think I heard her say "Danica" under her breath.
"Christine!" Sierra hissed.
They avoided my eye contact.
"Well... have fun doing all you're work stuff!" Christine said sarcastically.
"Thanks, I will. Have fun at your super lame party in the middle of the day!"
Christine rolled her eyes,"Thanks for letting me borrow your car."
"Yeah, yeah."
