Chapter Eleven

[Third Person POV]

"Go away, Amber. You said you love Connor." Harry mumbled into his pillow.

Amber was about to say about asking Harry to listen to her, but before she could, Paul walked into the room. Amber, I want you to go with Liam and Louis to get food. Liam has the list, and they're ready to leave." Paul said.

Amber takes one last look at Harry crying underneath his blankets before she sighs and goes to the stairs.

"I'm still mad at you for what you did to Harry." Louis stated to Amber as the two and Liam were walking back from the grocery store. The store was a good 10 kilometers from their "home," if you could even call it a home.

"I know," Amber replied as they continue walking.

"He doesn't deserve it." Louis said.

"I know," Amber said again.

"How could you do that to him?" Louis asked.

"I didn't mean-" Amber started, but is cut off by Liam, who has noticed something behind them and in the alleyways in front of them.

"Zombies," Liam said, just like that. Liam and Louis pull out the guns. They both feel like they've had to do it too many times in the past few days. Amber starts shaking with fear when she starts remembering her last two encounters with zombies.

There are only about 12 zombies and Liam and Louis are killing them quickly. So quickly that Amber is only keeping her eyes on the action. But because she never tore her eyes away from the action, Amber never noticed the zombie with the wooden board behind until Louis said, "Amber, look out!" But by then it was too late. The zombie brought the wooden board down over Amber's head, promptly knocking her out.

"Amber!" Liam yelled, while the blood drains from Louis' face. They shoot three more bullets to kill the last lingering zombies and then rush over to Amber.

"She's still alive," Louis said after checking her pulse. "We gotta get her to Paul." Liam said. Louis nodded and took her feet while Liam took her shoulders and head. They tried to walk slowly as to not cause more damage to her, but they also wanted to get her to Paul as quickly as possible.

20 agonizing minutes later, Louis and Liam had finally arrived at their "home." They had barely been able to open the door before Niall, Zayn and Paul crowed around the three. "What happened this time?" Paul asked.

"She got knocked out by a zombie. She's still alive though." Louis told Paul in a rush. Paul nodded and took the girl from their hands.

The four boys sit in the living room. They all knew better than to go bug Paul at a moment like this. They were all worried for Amber, and for Harry. Hopefully Amber would wake up soon, and she and Harry could make up. Louis had told the other lads about Harry's crush on Amber; though they all promised not to tell Amber or Harry they knew.

Paul came back into the living room 45 minutes later. The four boys all turned to look at him and could tell it wasn't good news by the look on Paul's face.

"Amber... She's in a coma."
