Ring went Ellie's phone as she approached Alana and Ronan on the deserted end of the beach. Alana had managed to pull herself onto a rock that still covered her from sight. Ronan was perched on a lower rock and they looked as they were having an interesting conversation.

"Hey," She said answering the phone. "Oh. Ah. Yes. Home by 6:00. Wait! What time did you say Ronan had to go home?" She paused for a minute. Her face froze in shock as she listened to the other person speaking on the other side of the phone. After she finished pausing she quickly She shook her head and rolled her eyes at Ronan making for him at a fast pace. "You didn't study for your history test Ronan! You have to go home!" Ronan stopped talking with Alana and slowly started to stand up as Ellie ran toward him.

"I just didn't have time."

"I could of helped you."

"I want to ask. I mean I didn't want to sound rude."

"You got an F!"

"Who was that on the phone anyway." Ronan quickly said desperately trying to change the subject. Ronan doesn't like it when he is in the centre of attention. Especially when it is bad news. Trickling down his face where sweat puddles as he stood in a weird position staring down the beach.

"It was Papa" Ellie replied to Ronan's question. Ellie knew Ronan wanted to change the subject so she did and she let Ronan tell her wanted to tell her before he left.

"So this morning Alana told me that on Friday 9th June every 7 years merman and mermaids gather upon this area just below that boat right there," Ronan pointed at this big blue cruise ship before continuing. "If we hire a boat and take Alana on this Friday. We could get her home!"

"2 problems,"

"What?"

"One: You didn't study for your history test so you will never be able to come and hire the boat with us.

Two: We have school on Friday!"

"Oh, I forgot about school," Ronan studded. Alana then stared at Ellie. She turned to her

"What?"

"You have my locket; she has my locket,"

"No... This is my locket." Ellie slowly spoke looking weirdly at Alana with a confused look. Although Ellie can be rough this locket meant the world to her and was the only thing that reminded her of her grandma who died last year.

"Give it back!" Alana screamed as she jumped from the rock and towards Ellie, making a swift jab at the locket. Ellie stepped back and pulled the locket from Alana's wet hands. After the locket was fully out her reach, Alana slid down the tiny bit of sand she jumped over, before re-entering the numbing water which she enjoyed so very much. Ellie moved forward into the place she was standing before but was ready to move again just in case Alana tried to grab it again.

Ronan rushed over to Ellie and embraced her with a hug. Once he let her go, you could see briefly in her eyes a few tears were welling. Quickly she wiped them away as she walked slowly towards Alana, keeping the locket clutched in her hand. Bending down on one knee, she opened her mouth but closed it. She didn't want to speak anymore. A second later she turned. Her hair flipped right into Alana's face. Ellie then took off down the beach towards her Grandpa's. Ronan knew she was mad or sad but either way, she wasn't happy. Ronan took off after her but as he caught up to her he saw the sadness in her face. Ellie was very beautiful but when she was sad her amazing smile disappeared was replaced with an ugly frown. Her eyes soaked with tears. Her cheeks as red as blood. Her face swooped low. Ronan had never seen her so sad and gently placed his arm around her shoulder. Ellie immediately brushed it off and sped her pace up and left Ronan behind him. Ronan stopped and waited but Ellie didn't look back. He knew that he had made a mistake.

"How could you do that to Ellie!" Ronan screamed. She sat their arms crossed, face stern and no facial expression were shown except anger.

"She deserved it!" Alana blurted out. Ronan didn't know what he was hearing.

"So is this how you rule the celebrity world down under the sea. They make one mistake and you then get to sin them because of it. Ellie is an amazing girl and doesn't deserve this. Your one mean celeb!"

"I like you Ronan but Ellie is way passed my 3 strikes and you're out system. So unless she hands over the royal medallion belonging to Queen Victoria who died 10 years ago because of an evil human who took her prisoner and skinned her of her scales, she gets her strike 4.

"My land, my rules!" Ronan said pointing his finger right in Alana's face. Alana shoved it violently out of his face. She then replied angrily.

"No, it's not! It is the owner of the beach!"

"Well, Ellie and I both own it because our parents share it!" Ronan sniggered in Alana's face again. Suddenly Alana slapped Ronan right in the face. Ronan turns and walks slowly down the beach. "Good Luck getting home!" Ronan said as he took one last disgusted look at Alana before turning round completely and jogging through the sand towards Ellie's grandpa's house. Alana started to leap across the beach in an attempt of catching Ronan but it was failed miserably. She missed Ronan by a fingernail. Alana started to scream.

"Don't run away you coward! Get back here! Help..." Her voice fell short as she was forced to slide back into the water which put Ronan totally out of her reach for good. Ronan heard the familiar whiny voice again. He turned with tears that have filled his eyes. Wiping them away he bravely asks

"Do you want to stay here? Because if you do you need to make up with me and Ellie. The choice is yours." With that, he turned and stopped his jog and turned it into a walk as he knew Alana was way too far away to catch him now. Not a noise in the air. Silent! It was almost silent, but Ronan could still hear Alana's crying as he headed towards the white, old shabby beach hut.
