Is it my fault?

Next morning, Shikamaru had the control over his body once again. For some reason, his head didn't hurt. Didn't he drink alcohol? He thought it was strange... He sat up on the edge of the bed and didn't notice Alexander until he began to move a little bit. He looked to the side and his eyes widened. His hands were chained up against the bed while the blindfold had fallen off his eyes. And not only that.. On his back stood Carlos. It looked like it was painted in blood. He saw bite marks, hickeys and scratch marks as well. Shikamaru didn't like what he saw. What did Carlos even do to Alexander? And did Alexander even want this? Shikamaru felt like this was all his fault. Why did he even let Alexander close when he knew that all he did was to hurt other people. He should have warned Alexander more, he should have kept his guard up... But he didn't know. Even if he knows everything! He actually doesn't know these kinds of things... He won't know all the mistakes he does... Because what he doesn't know is about himself... While he knows everything else!

When Alexander slowly began to wake up he felt a large pain all over his body. He wanted to sit up but noticed that he was still chained up to the bed. But then he saw hands that took the handcuffs off. Alexander's eyes widened and was afraid that it was Carlos. His heart began to beat faster in fear. He quickly looked up but all he saw was bored blue eyes looking at him. It made Alexander calm down.

-Oh, it's just you..., he said relieved. Shikamaru saw that frightened face Alexander made. He didn't like to see it. It was weird to see Alexander be scared. What did Carlos do to make him so scared of him. Shikamaru's hair covered his eyes a little and clenched his fist.

-What happened last night?, Shikamaru asked seriously. Alexander looked at him a little surprised. He thought back about last night and just wanted to forget about it.

-Nothing..., Alexander lied but he knew that Shikamaru would never buy it.

-Nothing? Don't lie to me. I pretty fucking know that something happened!, Shikamaru looked slightly annoyed and mad. Alexander looked down and didn't want to look into his eyes.

-Now tell me. What did Carlos do to you?, Shikamaru asked seriously and Alexander bit his lip.

-Nothing serious okay!

-It does look serious to me! Why is your body so bloody? Why is his name on your skin like he owns you?, Shikamaru said. Alexander looked at his skin. His eyes widened. That's why he was in such a pain.

-Looking at you expression... You didn't even know did you? That means he did it against you will.

-I...

-Alexander... Please get out of here, Shikamaru's tone was serious but it hid worry as well.

-Why?, Alexander was slightly confused.

-I think it would be better if you stayed away from me. I don't want you to get hurt just because you're close to me. It's better like this...

-I see..., Alexander quickly looked for his clothes but noticed that his shirt was ripped off. Shikamaru went to pick another shirt for Alexander and gave it to him.

-You can keep it. Now hurry so you won't get late for school.., Shikamaru said and Alexander just nodded. He put it on and then went to the door. Shikamaru followed him to the door.

-But..., Alexander stopped and looked at Shikamaru.

-What?

-I would like to meet you one last time... So this won't be the last..., Alexander said and Shikamaru sighed.

-I thought you hated me?

-Don't get it in the wrong way... I just don't feel like this is a good way to part.

-I see..., Shikamaru nodded and Alexander then left. Shikamaru closed and locked the door. He sighed and hoped everything would end now.

Alexander was on his way to the academy. He wanted to get back quickly so that he could take a shower. He sighed and tried to forget about that night. The pain he felt, the sounds he heard and the person who did it all. He sighed again and soon arrived at his dorm. He rushed to the shower and tried to think about nothing.

When he was done and got dressed again, he got called to the principal's office. Alexander wondered if he would get in trouble for something.

-Well Alexander..., Seiji began to speak and smiled.

-Since you are the best student and all... We are thinking about sending you to America.

-America? Why?, Alexander was confused and surprised over the sudden news.

-They need more vampire hunters you see... They don't have good hunters like we have. And we thought it would also be the great opportunity for you to learn more, Seiji smiled. Alexander bowed.

-Thank you sir for the opportunity.

-You're very welcome. You may now leave. You'll receive more information later, he said then Alexander left. He knew that there was more behind it but he was still happy. He could finally move more freely now, hopefully.... The news made him finally think about something else than Carlos and that horrible night...

 Shikamaru called Nick to pick him up after Alexander left. Nick was soon there and Shikamaru went to sit inside the car. They fastened their seat belts and Nick soon began to drive. Both of them were quiet and it was good... But Shikamaru soon broke the silence.

-Nick.

-Yes Shikamaru?

-You know Carlos right?

-Yes... What about him?, Nick kept his usual smile and tried not to think about that night he saw Carlos and Alexander.

-Has Carlos.... Ever done something bad to you? Like against your will?

-Oh.. No.. I don't think so. But he can be very scary sometimes when he doesn't get his way or gets interrupted. Why? Did something happen?

-No,no... I was just curious... I don't really know what he does so..., Shikamaru looked out from the window and didn't say anything. Nick just nodded and continued to drive. Nick didn't want to ask about it more. It was fine like that... As long as he didn't know more about Carlos and Alexander...
