K-Pop Celebrity Photographer Under Fire For 'Lolita Concept' Idol Imagery

Choi Won Suk, a Korean photographer who is best known as Rotta, has sparked debate recently with his controversial photos of K-pop celebrities.

It all started when former f(x) member Sulli (Choi Jin Ri), uploaded photos from her shoot with the "Lolita" photographer last year on Instagram.

However, Rotta responded to the accusations claiming that he does not have the said complex.

"I explained my name 'Rotta' comes from the word Lolita with a joke," he said to Wikitree in an interview last month. "However, it was just a joke. I don't have a Lolita complex. I just want to express fluttering memories of first love I felt when I was an adolescent boy. That's why I capture images of girls."

Singer-actress Dohee and Stellar also became Rotta's "Lolita" models for their pass shoot with Stellar even using his images for their comeback album.
