10 months earlier...
"Ah! You shot me in the ass you son of a bitch!"
Sig took cover behind a broken down bus, red and blue paint splattering all around him.
"Stop bitching Marcos! Get back to base and respawn, I need help here."
God I love PE...
It was Monday, nicknamed 'paint ball day', it was juniors and sophomores against seniors and the fresh meat.A paintball narrowly missed his face, reminding him the blue team seniors had them pinned on the right side of the field. He was good on ammo and just needed back up, which, lucky for him was his idiotic king-of-the-pot-heads friend, Marcos.
Bastard better hurry, I don't want all the glory.
He popped around the corner and took down 2 seniors before taking cover again. This wasn't going to be easy. They had the high ground and were setting up defensive positions. A blue ball of paint explodes next to him.
Shit! Sniper!
He rolled to a stack of wooden pallets, trying to pin point the spot. He for ready to move again when he felt a hand on his shoulder, and nearly shot Marcos in the face.
"Say something before you go touching people dumbass, I nearly got you out again."
"Love you too, you prick. So how bad is it?"
He peers around the corner to get a count of how many there were. 10 all together, 11 including the sniper, who he remembered as another paint ball exploded near him.
"Well someones got a grudge or of definitely in a bad mood with you."
"What makes you think you're safer then me?"Marcos stood up and walked out with his hands up next to Sig, clear as day.
"See? Their not shooting at me dum-"
He fell to his knees and started crying.
Sig was gonna ask what was wrong until he busted out laughing at the blue paintball splat on his friends crotch.
"Oh that's priceless!"
Sig helped his friend to his feet and got shot in the back, so they were both out.The game ended with the seniors and freshman as the winners, and Marcos sitting on a bench with a pack of ice.
"I have got to meet who did this."
Sig said with a wicked smile.
"Did what? Put dumbshit in his place?"
He turned to see one of the seniors fully armored up in paintball gear including a full face mask. She put the rifle in her hand over her shoulder, and stood with a born defiance.
"Thank you."
She cocked her head, "For what?"
"Making this the funniest and best Monday ever."
"No problem, tell him not to stand up in the middle of a paintball war, especially so easily exposed."
Marcos looked over like he was higher then the moon.
"Sig, I need some help, I can't feel them, am I gonna die? Did they pop?"
His face turned horrified, "Can they pop?"
Sig walked away to put up his gear, and noticed the senior was too.
Be nice to see the face of my new hero..He waited after taking off his gear and saw her take off her helmet.
Holy mother of-
The sight of the new girl almost made him faint.
She's amazing! I don't think I can take my eyes off of her...
At least, that was his thought until she angles the rifle at his face.
"Want me to turn you into your buddy back there? Please, I'm in the perfect mood for it."
He put his hands up in surrender, and took a careful step back. "Got it, nothing to fear," he covered his nuts, "Don't make me like him, please?"
She have him a half smile before shooting him on the hand covering his crotch.
Sig started to jump and shake his hand, cursing the whole time.
She giggled at that, showing off a set of dimples. her intellectual blue eyes promised pain to all assholes, and love to all friends. And at the moment, amusement in his bitching.
"Oh calm down you big baby."
"You suck, but..."
He stopped and looked her dead in the eyes before pulling off a cocky smile.
"Made you smile."
He walked off before she could respond.
