The Secret

3 IMPORTANT Quick Points (don't worry. They aren't spoilers):
1) Sasuke is NOT a jerk in this story. It's not the stereotypical Sasuke left Naruto or he cheated on him so there should be no hate towards him
2) This is also a non Sakura bashing story (trust me. I hate her character but it wouldn't fit in the story)
3) My chapters are usually long since I have an Ao3 account too (Anime4Ever! if you wanna check it out ;) ) but I'm going to try to keep the chapters as short as possible, except for this first one.
*side not: Also I'm going to try to be as realistic as possible with real life actions and main character features.

"Well," Gaara pushed for the fifteenth time.

"Well what?" Naruto asked, even though he knew the answer.

He was too exhausted to argue with him, having multiple sleepless nights. He was never given a break with her (and he wasn't talking about his annoying godmother). She must have gotten it from himself since her father was one of the calmest people you would ever meet. He was ready to fall asleep standing up. It wasn't until the redheaded college student kicked him that he realized he had fallen asleep. Screw being a secretary to one of the most frustrating bosses of one of Konoha's top business companies (despite the boss being your best friend). This job was ten times harder.

The blonde looked down at the little raven haired haired baby in the crib, peacefully sleeping under her blanket with her initials stitched onto it (a baby gift from Gaara; one of many). At least one of them was getting some rest. The circles under Naruto's eyes were dark enough to rival his best friends. You would think after over a year the baby would be better, but she still kept him up more often than not. Something she got from Naruto, definitely not from her father. And speaking of him....

"Well, are you going to tell him or not? This is the first time you'll seen him since, ya know..." Gaara tilted her head in the baby's direction.

The blonde shrugged his shoulders in response. "Maybe."

"Maybe? He needs to know Naruto." The teal eyed male said lowly as to not wake up the little one.

They both looked over to see the girl blinking, her big onyx eyes slowly opening. She blinked a couple of times before giggling and putting her arms out. "Mama!" Naruto scooped her up and sighed, sending his former high school classmate and lifelong friend an icy glare despite it not being his fault. So much as for her falling asleep now.

"Panda-chan woke you up, huh?" He said to the fourteen month old child as he rubbed her back soothingly, swaying from side to side in hope that she would fall back asleep.

Instead of closing her eyes, she giggled and pointed at the redhead. "Panda Gaawa!" No such luck then.

Gaara shot him a glare before sighing. "Think about Aki. She deserves to know who her father is. For once it wasn't his fault. If it was, I'd skin him alive, rip out his organs, run them over with a truck, and feed his soon to be dead carcass to the vultures." Naruto shook his head, unfazed by his mentally disturbed friends words.

"She has a father." was the simply reply. The redhead rolled his eyes. "You know what I meant. I meant her actual father. Not you, who's technically her mother."

He just shrugged. He wasn't sure he wanted to tell Akiko's other parent about her. Who knew what he would do? He didn't know if he wanted to see his reaction. He would most likely yell or be disgusted with him or pretend they didn't exist. And God forbid, try to use his family's power and influence to take her away from him. Naruto unconsciously held his daughter closer. He refused for that to happen.
