The climb

Your pov ~ ~ ~

The children looked at me as if I had 4 heads.

"(Y/n), are you crazy!?" They asked distressed, I began to tie daggers to my feet and hands so tight that Mt circulation could be cut.

"It's the fastest and the only way I can get all of you over to safety" I said plainly and began to go tward the wall. I looked back to see Zen holding Todo and all of the others holding their rope.

"We trust you" they said waiting for my orders.

"Hold on tight and make sure you don't hit the wall" I said, they nodded in response. Taking a deep breath I stabbed one dagger between the rifts in the rock, the dagger stayed strong in place as I stabbed the next one in. Step by step I continued this, almost like climbing a ladder....except I'm climbing a 50 meter wall with 7 children dangling below me depending on me, yep nothing much.

"(Y/n), your legs are shaking" Sarah said worried. I looked down to see not only my shaking legs, but the great drop that would definitely kill all of us. I turned away and continued to climb.

The weight of the children and my hurt when I pulled up to stab the next dagger, each stab only increased my pain. It was not at all worse that the daily pain, but it sure as hell was a close second! Each painful move I kept telling myself 'just that much farther' and that I can do this. That is until I felt the earth shake again, of all the times it had to be now!? I looked up to see we still had a fourth of the way to go. No way I could climb it in time to get the kids out of here, it's just not possible! But I have to try!

"(Y/n)!" I heard them yell, I knew what the were yelling at, the titan, and the reopened scar from yesterday's wiping, great. Despite all of this pain I still stabbed the wall one at a time, closer and closer we crept to the top. But the titan was coming even faster, about 8 feet from the top the titan was almost on us.

"Help! Is anyone up there!?" I called, almost instantly a woman with brown hair and hungry eyes looked down at me. She scanned the titan and then us, I grew fearful when she looked nervous.

"Please just save them!" I yelled, she nodded and I pulled the rope the kids were attached to. One by one I cut the rope and shoved them up to the woman, each time I did I had to wrestle with the kids to get them to leave.

"Here, the last one" I yelled handing up Todo, the children tied the parts of rope and lowered it to me.

"(Y/n)!" They yelled, but I didn't even try. The titan was reaching out for me, the woman looked at me and I just shook my head no. As the titan lifted me up I could see many soldiers looking to us, the titan, the children, and me, (y/n) Ackerman. But the thing that stood out the most, was that the soldiers were saluting me. With every salute I missed my brother even more, his gray eyes, his jet black hair, I hoped he was still alive. Soon I would see the old woman who was crushed and I would tell her about the children. Closer and closer the titan moved his hand to the mouth, I braced myself for the pain, but all I felt was a slimy, wet throat and a sudden stop.

Inside the titan, that's were I was. The rising temperatures of the fluid was unbareable! It's so fucken hot!!! I felt like I was melting! Even the corpses in here look sweaty, wait, they have wepons. I can use that!

"Sorry sir, I need to borrow this" I said to a dead body taking his sword. It was definitely sharp enough, but if I make a cut, I would have to get out quick before he fell. I read in a book that titans have regeneration abilities, but that's all I could remember from my reading days.

Carefully I took a few steps back to get a running start, then bolted stright to the stomach skin. I jumped up and spun like a weel just as my brother taught me, slicing the titans skin open. Before it closed I managed to escape and climb up the rest of the wall. The soldiers looked at me as if I was a ghost, which to me honest I thought I would be right now.

"(Y/n)! Your alive" Cana yelled, all of the children ran tward me with tear stained faces and red cheeks.

"Yes I am, someone has to look after you!" I said in a light tone. They were about to tackle me but began staring at my arms and legs, they were burned my the titans heat.

"I'm fine really" I said, the soldiers still staring at me. One in particular was the woman who helped the kids. Walking up to her I put out my hand.

"Thank you so much for helping them, I own you my life, I'm (y/n) by the way" I said calmly.

"Sasha Brown" she said stunned as I shook her hand and left her side. The children looked at me in shock.

"(Y/n), what are we gonna do now?" Obi asked, I took his hand in mine

"I promised to take care of you didn't I? So that's what I'll do" I said smiling, they seemed happy with that answer and we went along the path to decent the wall.
