"Do you have everything Pearson?"
"For the thousandth time yes." Pearson said as he closed the trunk of the van.
"Kids!!" The twins Karson and Kameron come running out Kameron on Karson's back. I shake my head and laugh at them. Kameron smiles at me and I pick her up and strap her in her car seat as my husband put Karson in his. Me and Pearson have been married for about 10yrs. now. Kameron and Karson are both 6 years old. "Mommy how long is this trip going to be?" Asks Kameron.
"It won't take too long, we'll be to grandma's soon." It was the middle of summer in Florida. I get in the van and look over at Pearson, "Ready?" He asks. "Ready." I say as looking back at the house.
"Amerot."
"Yes?" I say looking up from my book.
"Do you think your mom will be alright with us bringing the kids? I mean you didn't exactly tell her,"
"It's fine, I mean she can't expect us to just leave the kids at home for 2 weeks. Besides, the kids can use a change and getaway for awhile."
He sighs. "I guess your right."
"Aren't I always." I say smirking staring at him.
I wake up, not sure how long I've been out as I stare out the window listening to the pitter patter of the rain hitting the window. I look back and see Kameron and Karson both passed out. "About time you woke up." I Hear Pearson remark.
"You're just jealous that you didn't get to sleep." He scoffs as I laugh. I turn the radio and sing along to the song. I've always been a bad singer but that doesn't stop my husband from singing along. Next thing I know feel a bump and tire screeches. I still hear the music through my ears as we start flipping. The last thing I remember is holding my husbands hand as we look at each other, then I black out.
