I try to sleep but every time I close my eyes I think about Pearson. I decide to take a walk. I go out the room and start walking around the boat. "Fancy seeing you here." I roll my eyes and start my tracks back to the room. "Hey, don't leave on my behalf lad. What are you doing out here anyhow?"
Well can't hurt to stay. I guess it'd be alright to stay abit.
"If you must know, I had trouble sleeping so I thought I'd walk around until I can sleep. "And how's that working out?"
"Lonely." I say.
"I tell you what. How bout you talk to me what you're thinking up there so it won't explode your thoughts. Deal?
"Sure I guess." I say sighing
"So what's your story?" He asks me.
"Well I grew up in Louisiana with 3 brothers and my mom raised us. My dad was always working and things just didn't work out so they divorced when I was young. I grew up with Pearson. We've known each other since I was born. We started dating when I was 15. I decided I wanted a change so we moved down to Florida together where I went to medical school to become a PT but they wanted to move me for my job so I decided to become a 1st grade teacher. He asked me to marry him after graduation and a couple years later we had Kameron and Karson. And uh you know the rest."
"Wow. So you two were close huh?"
"Yeah." My eyes start to tear up slightly. "I know what it's like to loose a loved one. But I've never lost someone I was in love with. I would apologize but from my experience the apologizes doesn't help. It doesn't change the fact that they're gone. What I am sorry about is that you have to live through this."
"Thnx." I say putting my head on his shoulder. "So does this mean we're friends know love."
"Not in a million years." I say jokingly
"That's what I thought. My name is Eric by the way."
"I'm Amerot."
"Well it's getting late so you should probably get to sleep."
"I didn't know you cared." I say sarcastically.
"Well it's better than asking if you want to come to my room and have some fun." He says winking.
"And there he goes again."
"Amerot?"
"Yeah?" I turn around before I walk off. "I don't know what I'd do without Benjermen." I stare at him blank faced. "Why do I always get that expression?" He asks. "Well, I mean now that I think about it it makes since." My last comment as I laugh and walk away. I get to my room and flop in bed and next thing I know I'm passed out until I hear alarms go off on the ship.
