Tori was backed up against a brick wall, five buff and hooded men surrounding her.  Her side was bruised from where they hit her with a bat, and her cheek was cut by a knife.  She gulped and stared at them in fear, cursing her stupidity for the one time she forgot her gun at home.

"Can't run anymore girly...Time to have some fun~", said the one in front, his hands reaching for her.

"HEY FUCK STICKS!"

They whipped around, a large shape in a blue sweater stood with a baseball bat in hand, her eyes empty, blackness filling the sockets. 

The men laughed, "Who're you?"

"Tamara, and I don't like bastards like you messing with my girl.", she said.

They stepped forward, flicking out switchblade, bats, and brass knuckles, charging at her.  She dodged the first swing of a bat and cracked her own against the next guy, sending him flying into the pavement, unconscious.  Another pinched her in the face, and she retaliated by kneeing him in the crotch, also downing him.  There were three more left.

Tori launched herself forward, swinging herself into one of their shoulders and choking him with her legs, pulling his hair.  Tamara dodged attacks from the last two, but fell for a moment from a bat hitting her stomach.  Tori jumped off of the thug and kicked the legs out f on under one of Tamara's assilants and brought his face down into the pavement, watching the last man run away as Tamara swung at him with her bat.

Tori panted, sweat glistening in her face, "Are you alright?"

"Yeah, you?", she asked.

Tori nodded and held her side, she was certain some of her ribs were cracked, if not, then definitely bruised to shit.  Tamara picked her up bridal style, letting her weapon drop as she carried Tori away, still slightly out of breath. 

"Thank you."

Tamara looked down, "No problem."

"Did you mean it?"

Tamara cocked an eyebrow, "Mean what?"

"That I was your girl.", Tori said smugly.

Tamara sputtered and went red, "N-No!  O-Of course not!  It w-as for um, i-intimidation purposes!"

"You don't sound so sure of that.", Tori stated.

Tamara silenced, her eyes falling, "Well...Um...Yeah, I meant it."

Tamara stopped in front of their house, setting her down gently.  Tori looked up at the taller woman, who was collecting her thoughts.

"Tori, I've, um...Liked you, for a l-long time, and I really don't like seeing you hurt like that, at all...But, I'm scared, because I don't know if you like me back.", she admitted.

Tori curled a finger, beckoning her to her level.  Tamara crouched slightly and looked into Tori's silver eyes.  Tori pulled Tamara's sweater and kissed her.

Tamara was stunned for a moment, then closed her eyes and put a hand on Tori's neck, pulling her closer, her other arm snaking to her knees, gently picking her up for a more comfortable position.  Tori squeaked in surprise, but melted into the kiss, putting her hands on Tamara's chest.

They pulled away a moment later, staring each other in the eye, Tori giggled, "I love you."

"I love you too.", said Tamara, walked towards the front door and walking inside of their house.

Ell and Matilda were on the couch, Ell curled up into Matilda's side, half-asleep.  Matilda looked over to them and shook Ell awake, who startled slightly and looked over to them.

"Tamara!  Tori!  Where were you guys?", he asked, standing up.

Tamara set her down and quickly grabbed paper towels for her nose and the first aid kit, "Tori got backed up into an alley by some thugs, they...Weren't gonna let her come home without any marks, so I saved her."

Ell gasped dramatically and sat her down on the couch, bandaging her her up quickly, apologizing when she accidentally jostled her side.  Matilda got some ice and gave it to Tori to put on her side.  Tamara had put ice on her own bruises, and banadged her cut eyebrow, which she hadn't noticed because of the blood covering her face.

"Okay!  You are all bandaged up!", said Ell.

Tori smiled gently, careful of the cut on her cheek, "Thanks Ell, Matilda."

Tamara quickly sat down beside her, pulling her onto her lap, smirking at the small squeak she let out.  Ell and Matilda not-so-discretely traded money, and sat down beside then, Ell retaking her place curled up in Matilda's side.  Once both Tori and Ell were sleep Matilda looked over at Tamara, who was petting Tori's hair gently.

"What really happened Tamara?", she asked.

Tamara looked down guiltily, "...They weren't just gonna beat her up...They were gonna rape her, and if I didn't get there when I did, they probably would have."

"Oh my god.", exclaimed Matilda in shock.

She looked down at Ell and smiled gently, looking back at Tamara with a happy look.

"We're really lucky aren't we?  Tori is definitely, shes got, big ol' Tamara to protect her now.", she said jokingly.

Tamara grinned, "Yup, and if anybody touches her, Imma box their faces in."

Matilda stifled her laughter, looking down at Ell for any signs of her waking up.  Tamara did for Tori as well, and both sighed in relief that neither of them did.  They continued watching the show, and Matilda bid her goodnight and went to her bedroom with Ell, yawning a bit.  Tamara nodded and kissed Tori's soft hair, laying her head back and closing her eyes.

"Night Tori.  I love you."

As she slowly fell asleep, she felt a shifting on her lap, "I love you too."
