finn
"okay! go, you idiot!" maddie laughed at me, pushing me. i rubbed my arm and did a small eye roll.

"calm down, mads. i don't really like millie." millie, she wasn't really popular. she just doesn't really fit in. she maybe has one or two friends here and there.

"are you sure? i've come to notice that you think she's pretty cute," maddie winked, and i pretended to gag. "you liiike her!"

"i'm sure i know who i like and don't like, maddie. i don't need you to make decisions for me. you're like my mom, except i'm older than you." i said, placing a hand over her mouth as she was about to talk.

"you'll regret this finn! i know you love her, and i'm just trying to help you!" i'm sure she was bonkers.

she walked away with a strut, and i shifted my glance to gaten. "she is insane," i began. "but she's my friend, and my ex..."

"well finn, maybe you do like millie," he suggested. "millie is actually really nice. she lent me her math book the other day." gaten smiled.

noah was about to chime in. "he's right! millie bought me a water yesterday when i forgot mine!" that was really nice.

"yes, i know she's nice. i've met her." i shrugged, leaning back in the chair i sat in. i fiddled my fork around the food in front of me.

"maddie's right, finn," caleb said, tapping my shoulder. "get off your ass and go talk to her!"

"caleb, stop being an ass," i scoffed, shoving his hand off of my shoulder. "why don't you go talk to that sadie girl? huh?" he rolled his dark eyes, like he would if he starred as regina george in mean girls.

he looked at me, and for a spilt second, i swore he could read my mind.

"oh my god, karen, you can't just ask someone why they're white." i was about to laugh with him and bitch slap him.

"on wednesdays, we don't ask out freaks," i rolled my eyes rudely. "understand?"

nobody could change my mind. millie is not popular, and if i dated her, i wouldn't be either.

"hey! finn!"
