Aden carried me to his awaiting car and cradled me in his lap, holding me tightly. My chest still hurt like hell, and my head throbbed. We road in silence as his driver rushed us to his families doctor on the other side of town.
He whispered softly into my ear, brushing my hair away from my face. " I swear to you Kassie, I won't let her get away with what she's done."
The black Audi srx stopped in front of Dr.Clayton's office, Aden carried me inside and laid me on a small table. Dr. Clayton shoved Aden out of the room and quickly went to work.
An hour later Aden was aloud back into a smaller room where I was recovering.
" She's going to be fine Aden, but you might want to let her rest first. Whatever Nancy put in the tip of that spike is keeping Kassie from healing completely." Dr. Clayton pulled Aden to the side and lowered his voice. "Aden is their a reason why you haven't turned Kassie completely?" Aden stood silently for a moment before answering. " There is but right now I need you to do everything you can to heal Kassie."
I began to slowly wake up from the fog my head was in. My body felt like I had a fever coursing threw my veins. Aden sat beside me, holding on to my hand, looking in to his gorgeous eyes. I smiled slightly at Aden, letting him know I was alright.
"Listen Kassie, I have to go take care of Nancy, the woman who attacked you earlier. Her action's are punishable by death." He kissed my forehead and left me, Aden didn't give me the chance to say anything.
I guess he and his kindred take matters like these very seriously, by exacting what they call justice.
