Double Dare You- The Change

I woke up to a dark room, Aden wasn't in the bedroom or the shower. I slipped on my sapphire blue silk kimono and walked thru my house, calling out his name. He didn't answer me and I started to get upset. My cell rang, it was Ari. " Kassie, where in the hell have you been? I've been trying to reach you for three days now." I was confused and didn't know what she was yelling about. " What are you talking about Ari? I talked to you yesterday, didn't I?" "Are you ok Kassie? Do you want me to come over?" I shook my head trying to clear out the cobwebs. "No Ari, I'll be fine. I think it's just a sinus cold or something, don't worry." I did my best to try and convince her that I was ok. "Well alright, if you're sure. I hope you get to feeling better soon Kassie." "Thanks Ari, hey well talk soon." With that Ari and I said good bye, and hung up.

  I was pissed off at Aden, he wasn't here and he wasn't answering his cell either.  I quickly got dressed and headed towards the park, I needed to clear my brain and cool off. When I got there everything looked, and smelled different. My stomach began to twist in knots, and I felt like I was starting to burn up on the inside. The pain was so great that it had me doubled over, falling to my knees. Someone heard the commotion and ran over to where I was. They placed a hand on my back and leand over. " Hey Miss, are you alright? Do you need my to call 911?" I shook my head, and whispered.. "No, I'll be ok. I just need help getting home." They man helped me stand up, and placed his arm around my waist, helping me walk back towards my house. It's as if something took over, I felt different, hungry like never before. I grabbed him and pulled him behind a few trees, sinking my fangs into his neck and drank greedily. When I felt his heart stop I pulled back and dropped his now lifeless body to the ground. It's seemed like some sort of outer body experience, like I was there but had no control over anything.

Minutes ticked by when I realized what I'd done, covering my mouth to stop the sickening feeling that started to creep up in my throat. There at my feet layed a dead man and my lips covered in his blood, thinking quickly I grabbed his body and dragged it farther into the woods, hiding him. I ran home, once inside I locked myself inside my bathroom and refused to come out for anyone. It all started to sink in, and I realized that Aden was the soul reason I was like this.
