While we were in school Carla tried to keep me busy and keep the boys away from me at the same time. Epic fail by the way. She did the best she could.
"Hey! Elizabeth!"
"Come on Liza."
Ace caught up with us.
"Carla let me talk to my beloved for a second."
"No."
"Why have you been avoiding me Elizabeth. If you don't want me as a mate reject me so we can move on."
"Ace I need to think."
"It's me or Dave. Just chose."
Carla freaked.
"You know that's not fair Ace! This is the person she'll spend the rest of her life with and have children with! Be more understanding!"
I heard "Hey!"
"There you are!"
I was cornered by my three mates and I did the only thing that made sence to me and my wolf. I dropped my things and ran out the school.
"Way to go you three!"
"Elizabeth!"
I ran. I knew they were trying to catch up to me but I shifted into my wolf form and ran like crazy.
'Elizabeth stop.'
'Daddy...I have to run! I-I can't-!'
'Don't make me do this Elizabeth! Stop running!'
I kept going. My father showed up in front of me and said 'Enough!'
I stopped and he growled at me 'Lay down!'
I laid on my stomach and whimpered.
'You know I hate doing that. Your mom told me what's going on.'
'What do I do?! Has this ever happened before?'
'Not that I know about. This is new for everyone honey but I think everything will be fine.'
'Alpha! Danger heading your way!'
'What?! Danger-?!'
'Different wolves. Rouges!'
My ears went flat and I growled.
'Go home!'
I stood up to leave.
"Too late!"
I growled.
"She's a fighter."
'Back away!'
"Make us."
'This isn't your land!'
"We don't have land!"
Our pack came out from no where.
'Bane! Elizabeth!'
'Mom!'
She licked my face and said 'You're safe!'
'Not now mom!'
"So sweet."
I growled. Yahto jumped in front of me and growled. He said "Back down!"
"Your her mate?! So strong!"
"I got dibs on the girl!"
"Fine by me."
I was the target?! Why?!
"Don't kill her! I want her alive!"
I heard a laugh and we all looked up.
"More rouges tresspassing on the alpha's lands! What do you say Ace? Should we teach them a lesson?"
"Sure Carla. Why not?"
The female rouge said "You bitch!"
"Tisk tisk. Now Gabby what have I told you?"
Carla smiled.
"Shall we?"
"We shall."
A fight broke out pretty fast. My father was trying to protect me and my mother as he tried to fight at the same time but we could hold our own against a pack of rouges. I pouced and ripped one of their throats out with my teeth.
"Nice!"
'Did you doubt me?'
"Smart ass."
I snarled and went back to fighting.
"I think we're done."
"I hope so."
"I think we did well."
I shifted back and turned to look at my mates and said "Not all three of you could be my mates."
"Are you serious? Is that why you've been avoiding us?"
I looked at my feet and said "Maybe."
"Elizabeth...how do you expect to find your mate in one of us if you don't spend time with us?"
I sighed and said "I would feel bad. One of you is my actual mate and if I dated one of you who isn't then that's considered cheating! I don't know how to determin which is my mate and I don't-."
"You're idiot!"
I flinched as Dave came out of the trees. I looked at my feet.
'I know who it isn't.'
I looked up at Dave and said "It isn't you. Get out of my sight. This goes with out saying but I quit."
"You can't quit!"
I growled and said "I just did!"
I gasped and said nothing.
"Elizabeth what's wrong?"
I got weak at my knees. I gasped and sat down.
"Elizabeth!"
I looked down at my hand and saw blood.
"Bane! Elizabeth's been shot!"
"Elizabeth!"
"Who shot that?!"
"Your all so stupid."
"Gabby-."
"You bitch!"
I was laid down and I said nothing.
"What happened? How did she get shot?"
My vision was fading.
"M-Momma-."
"Hey don't worry baby. The pack doctor is coming."
"Is it bad?"
Ace looked at me and said "No. It's not that bad."
He was lying through is teeth!
"You're lying."
I felt pressure in my side and closed my eyes.
'Who's my mate? Will I live to find out?'
