One Year Later

Things had worked out for Harry, concerning his career aspirations of course. A record label was interested in him after discovering the few videos he uploaded on YouTube, and he was lucky enough to sign with them.

Coincidentally, after a little promo in social networks and a couple of famous blogs, he released an album and his first single's music video contained snippets of everytime he and Taylor were together. He didn't want their time to have gone to waste, and wanted to share how beautiful they were together with the world, and deep down he was hoping he'd somehow reach out to her. It was a daunting hope, which he kept to himself.

Taylor however, far across the country, she'd lead to a simple life of being a full time waitress on week days and helping out in the local library for minimum wage on weekends. It was rough for the first three months, since her family wasn't exactly wealthy and school expenses were dreadful which made her mother get two more jobs other than the one where she's working as a decently paid accountant.

Her mother, Lydia, was forever grateful for her eldest daughter to help them selflessly the way she did. She'd never forget that, and she'd forever also have the guilt of holding back Taylor from forming her own life and causing her to breakup with the boyfriend she'd heard about countless times on the phone.

Taylor held up everything as much as she could, not daring to complain knowing that she'd regret it the very same second and feel bad for the rest of her life. She's supposed to help, she can't have her family living on the streets. That won't ever happen as long as she was there.

Even if her heart ached everyday at what she'd left back in New York.
