Chapter 1: Spring Cleaning
"Aichi, Aichi!" an adorable little voice sternly called, "Aichi, wake up!"
"E-Emi?" Aichi mumbled as his dark blue eyes finally came into view as he slowly woke up. "What is it.. today's not a school day.." he yawned, snuggling back into his covers.
"Mou, Aichi," Emi, a cute little girl with ginger-colored hair, frowned while pulling off his covers, "Don't fall back asleep!!!"
Aichi's pajamas were also pulled up, exposing his stomach, making him shiver from the sudden loss of his comfortable bed's warmth. "Emi!" Aichi complained, though rather timidly.
"We have guests," she stated sternly as two boys much taller than her waved from his doorway.
"Eh?" Aichi's eyes widened when he caught sight of, "K-Kai-kun?!"
"Yo~" the cheerful blonde wearing a red motorcycle jacket grinned. "Don't forget about me! I came to help out, too."
"Miwa-kun?!" Aichi's little heart couldn't take this surprise as he quickly jumped up from his bed. "Wh-Why... E-Emiii!!" he quickly turned to his little sister with a blush. He looked like a total mess right now and to be woken up in such a manner was so embarrassing!
"Aichi, you are just too helpless," the girl sighed, making people wonder who was older than whom. "I'm going to go get the brooms and dusters now, alright?"
"Eh.." Aichi tilted his head in confusion, quickly looking back at the ground when he met eye contact with Kai's serious ones.
"Emi asked us yesterday to help out with your house cleaning," Miwa explained with his usual smile (since there was no chance Kai was going to play Mister Plot-Explainer). "Well, it's more like she asked Kai, but I wanted to see what your house looked like, too!"
Aichi's face looked even more white, "Ehhhh?! Why would she ask Kai-kun to do something like that?!"
"Ah, this guy might not look like it, but he's great when it comes to stuff like house-cleaning," Miwa answered, advertising his stoic best friend all the more.
Kai just closed his eyes and looked away, but when he turned back to Aichi, he noticed the boy looking at him with twinkling eyes filled with innocent admiration. "Amazing..! Of course Kai-kun would be skilled in the house!"
"He'd make a perfect husband one day, right Aichi?" Miwa asked suddenly closing up to the shounen, smiling brightly. And, right on cue, Kai stepped in to drag the mischievous blonde out of the room, obviously annoyed by the two's proximity.
"Miwa, don't say anything unnecessary and let Aichi get changed properly." Kai then closed the door on his so-called best friend, and crossed his arms with a sigh, looking back at Aichi with what seemed to be a glare. "What are you waiting for? Get undressed."
"H-Hai?!" Aichi blushed as he froze.
Miwa, from behind the door, ceased his complaining and made Emi refrain from talking when she reached Aichi's room with the cleaning supplies. Kai had finally said it. This could finally mean another step towards what everyone expected since episode 42 (If not Episode 2)!
From Aichi's room, Kai's sigh could be heard. "What is it? Do you need help?"
"N-No, I-I'm fine! Uhm, my clothes," Aichi frantically searched around for something to wear. He opened his closet, but was surprised to find it completely empty. "E-Eh, no way.."
A little knock on the door caught Kai's attention who opened it slightly, "What."
Miwa smiled, "Heehee, delivery~" With that, he handed Kai a maid's uniform. "For Aichi-" the door slammed shut again.
