Chapter Three: Dark Link

A tired sigh escaped the white haired male as he shuffled home after a long day dealing with villagers, the jobs they needed done and having to deal with being ripped off for all his hard work. At this point, Dark just wanted to go home and see his little brother. Sighing once more, he shuffled towards the run down building he lived in, a bag of fruit and some bread in his hands, as his sword hung at his side, ignoring the whispers and the dirty looks being shot at him, it was always the same with Hyrule citizens. Judge the people who helped defeat Ganondorf, judge the ones who had so much too lose with the death of the evil king, and only praise the one who wasn't created by darkness, who wasn't evil at all. Another sigh escaped the male, as he turned quickly into an abandoned area and towards his home.

Maybe Ben would be there, just drawing or floating bored but he hoped that he wasn't causing such a ruckus in town with how bored the child had to be...but Dark wasn't surprised if Ben was causing a ruckus, he had no friends in this damn village, the only thing close to a friend that Dark assumed Ben had were chickens, the shadows and whatever thing that wouldn't throw sticks, stones and call him names. Shaking his head, he opened the door to his home and stepped in, fiery red eyes scanning the place, he could feel Bens aura here, but why wasn't the child running towards him with something to say about his day, or perhaps to ask about the forest and everything else Dark had done that day. Tossing the bag of fruit and bread onto the ground, and then his sword, Dark called out. 

"Ben!" His voice held worry, and he mentally winced at the sound of worry in his voice, but he walked deeper into the house, before he finally noticed a green clad hero coming out of the kitchen, Eyes knitted in confusion at Link being in his damn home, before he finally noticed blonde head tilting to the side, towards the couch, causing long strides towards the piece of furniture and eyes widened seeing the young child laying on the couch, bandages wrapped around his body, and the unmistakable stain of blood ruining the white bandages. 

"What happened" Dark snarled, eyes staying on his brothers breathing form, hands clenching up tightly as he turned to stare at Link. 

"A run in with Guards, Ben threatened the Princess and attacked the Guards" Link explained, voice calm, trying to be soothing, "He'll be fine, I'll report the Guards to Zelda, and make sure that they won't do it again" 

"They shouldn't have done it in the first place! He's just a damn kid! If this was any other snot nosed brat in this damn kingdom, they would have just scolded them!" 

"I know, I will deal with this" 

"Sure you will, always have to be the hero" Dark snarled trying to keep his fury down, he couldn't go and destroy those damn idiots who had dared hurt Ben, who had raised their sword against his brother, no- he had to stay put, behave and hope that the Princess (Who hated them just as much) would do something, the dark hero knew that she wouldn't do anything. "She won't do anything, you know this already Link"  

"She will do something, just because you two aren't on good terms doesn't mean anything, she is a ruler of this Kingdom and she will protect all it's citizens" came the collected reply, "and I am not doing this to be a hero, I'm doing this because I care" 

That had stopped Dark short, and he blinked not even realizing he was chest to chest with Link, blinking, he snorted stepping back from the hero, making his way to Ben once more as he knelt down, running his hands through his brothers dirty blonde hair, humming the song of healing backwards, a song Ben enjoyed a lot. 

"You can leave now, I'm here" Dark spoke towards Link, who was watching the scene before him, a slight amazed look on his features at the caring nature. 

"There's a thing of Pumpkin soup for when Ben wakes up, I'll be back later to tell you the verdict of the Guards when it's been decided" 

"Whatever"
