Friendship Flashback

It was my first year and I wanted to be as far away from Sirius as I could get. I had passed four compartments before I came to one with a girl and a boy in it.

" Hi can I sit with you two?" I asked standing in the door.

"Sure" she said smiling at me.

"I'm Jane Black." I said sitting down beside her.

"I'm Lily Potter and this is my best friend Severus Snape." She said pointing at the boy.

"So what house do you want to be in Jane?" He asked

"I was hoping to get into Slytherin. What about you Severus?" I asked him smirking

"Same" 

"I don't know what house I want to be in I'm still knew to all of this." Lily said

"Wait are you a muggle born witch?"  I asked

"Yes...."Lily said

I saw Severus look at me and wait for my reply.

"That's amazing whats it like?" I asked smiling

She then told me about what all she did at home and what her life was like. She told me about her sister and about her family. It was going amazing up until my twin came.

"Yo J who is the nerds?" Sirius asked

"Severus and Lily my friends so back off ugly." I said shutting the door.

The whole rest of the train ride we talked about our family and what we wanted to do in life. Whenever we made it to Hogwarts we stayed together. When we were called to the sorting house me and Severus went to Slytherin and Lily went to Gryffindor with my brother and his friends. It was hard being in Slytherin and being friends with Lily but I was happy about it. Severus and me became friends after the first three weeks of school. It wasn't until the end that I realized I had a crush on Severus, but I knew he wouldn't go for me because he liked Lily.

Our second year my younger brother, Regulus, started his first year. It was also the year my brother made it his life's goal to make my life miserable. Sirius and his friends bullied Severus and me, they didn't bully Lily because Sirius' best friend likes her. It is sad when someone treats a person they just meet better than they do their own twin.

At home it got worse because I would ask to stay at Lily's house and I would lie and say she was a Full blood witch. My mother wished to meet her family and to know what house she was in. It wasn't long before I lied and told her I was meeting up with a boy who was in Slytherin, which I wasn't lying about.

I had Sev meet my parents and thankfully he was able to lie and say his parents where full bloods. The whole lunch my mother asked if we were together and my twin keep making fun of us. The jerk almost told my parents about him being a half blood but Regulus helped and said that Sev was a full blood.

After all of that me and Sev became closer. We became inseparable and before long I had fallen in love with him. It sucked because he was in love with Lily and talked about her everyday. It wasn't long before they stopped talking though. While my twin and his friends were bullying Sev Lily and I tried to stop them but he called Lily a Mud-blood, and made them stop being friends.

It was our last year when it finally happened we started dating me and Sev. I was so happy that we were together, but that all ended when I over heard him telling someone he was dating me to make Lily jealous. That night we were on the couch and I wanted to confront him about it.

"Sev why are you dating me?" I asked

"Because I love you" he said leaning down and kissing me.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and put everything I felt into the kiss. After we pulled away I rested my head on his shoulder and started to cry.

"Love what's wrong?" He asked making me look at him.

"I'm in love with you and you are using me."

"Jane I'm not...."

"DONT LIE TO ME I HEARD YOU TALKING TO MALFOY AND YOU ARE USING ME TO MAKE LILY JEALOUS, SOMEONE WHO WILL NEVER LOVE YOU!" I yelled and then calmed down "we are done find some one else to use."

I then ran out of the room and started to cry at the bottom of the stairs. After a while I ran to the Gryffindor coming room. I asked the painting to get Sirius for me. I waited for him and when he came out I tackled him in a hug and started to cry. He held me for a while telling me it would be okay. We pulled away and he had me explain what Severus had done to me.

" I'll kill him!" He said standing up.

"Please don't I just need you to hold me" I said

After that night I became closer to my brother we stopped talking when I had told him I was joining the death eaters to watch Regulus. He told me to and that I needed to be carful. I wasn't loyal to the dark lord and because of that I never got the mark.

One day I was given a letter from our house elf that Regulus had been killed by the dark lord. I sent a letter to my brother and to Lily about the dark lords plan. On my way out I was stopped by Malfoy who told me that the dark lord knew and I needed to run. I ran and ran until I was far enough to apparate close enough to Hogwarts.

I ran and told Albus everything that had happened and me made the idea to fake my death. It worked and I was told I could never tell anyone I was alive not even Sirius. I saw everyone at my funeral and by everyone, I even mean Severus. He had his hood up and it was for a few minutes before he left.

A week later I was sent a letter telling me about Lily and James. Harry was brought to me and I was then told that Sirius was in Azkaban. It became harder for me to handle everything but it got easier with Harry being there for me..............

"That's how I came to be Jane Potter" I said leaving out about Severus and me dating.
