My old childhood

To hang on to you is useless
I know you'll leave me one day
Did I do something to make you feel unwanted
I'm sorry to say.

I held on to you for dear life
Now without you gives me strife
I know your journey with me ends here
Maybe my child will hold you as dear.

I know time will eat me away
I shall remember you till my last day
You are such a innocent thing people miss
To think you go away makes me hiss.

To you my childhood I say goodbye
With this heavy word I sigh
Thank you for your time with me
Now you roam to set a new life free.
