CHAPTER 1
Staying alone in your own space is quite satisfying. I never would have known if I hadn’t moved out of my last apartment, the one I shared with my 3 other friends. Although I love them and miss them, nothing beats living alone. No screaming over anything and nothing, no unwanted visitors, no keeping grudges and making up, no one to borrow your things without your consent either temporarily or permanently. They don’t return things sometimes. No one to help you rearrange your things, preferably to their rooms, finish the groceries without noting it down for the shopper, who most times happen to be me, to get new ones. No unwanted visitors in your bed at nights due to nightmares they have, most times brought on by horror movies.
Oh I know! I miss their noise because it’s filled with love unlike the annoying one that comes from the rooms over the one opposite mine. That description is long so let me describe my apartment building. My apartment building is built in a rectangular shape. The rooms face each other with 12 of them at each side and three at the end of the rectangle with the elevator on the other end, which is also the entrance. Then we have five floors and I am on the third floor.
I've only gotten here for a week but these girls have already attracted my attention with their unnecessary noisy yapping. Don’t they have a life? I sometimes wonder if their lungs don’t hurt. I also inferred that their eardrum is spilt when they talk to each other on the top of their lungs when the other is right there beside them!
Shaking my head to get their thoughts out of my head, I went to my room to change out of my Sunday clothes while humming the hymn we sang that day.
'All hail the power of Jesus name
Let angels prostrate for
Bring forth the royal diadem
And crown Him God of all'.
Still humming, I went to the living room to get my shopping list and head for the mall. I need to get some things for my house to make it habitable to son of man.
As I lock my door, I sent up a prayer to God that he should please make my neighbours, both the ones beside me and opposite me, guys. Hey! Am a heterosexual and a functional one at heart, if not physically.

After hours of going round the mall, I now have things to testify to my sojourn: kitchen utensils in a bag, beddings in another and an ironing board. Now, it was in the processes of bringing out this same ironing board out of the back seat that it happened.
A/N: I didn’t intend to stop here but I was typing in the church, I know it’s not a good thing, and this was where I stopped for the final prayers. When I got home, my friend read it and asked what happened so I got the idea to stop it here. I would upload soon. Pls, you also know the normal things we ask for here on wattpad.
