What's One More?

Snow Trip

1 year later,

Ben, Harry, Harper, Hannah, Haley and I are all going on a snow trip to Perisher!! Will and Chelsea are taking Olivia and Noah with them, but separate. We are meeting The older kids at Jindabyne where we will be staying. And then renting a house for a week. Will, Olivia, Chloe and Noah will stay in another house next to us. I can't wait for all the kids to go skiing. Harry and Ben will be snowboarding and the rest of us girls will be skiing!!

We leave on the 17th July in the morning around 7:30 am. We arrived at Jindabyne and got our house key. As soon as we stepped into the house, we started unpacking. We love it. It is three levels with 3 bedrooms (Ben & I, Harry and Harper, Hannah and Haley). Mason is staying with Ben's parents because he is too young. Next year we will take him down, he will be 2.

Ben and I really want to have another kid. Luckily, we are very fertile. We wanted it to be a surprise. So obviously I won't be skiing!! We are so excited. We know what the gender is but we are gonna save it until it's birth.

The snow was fantastic. The older kids are staying 3 days longer because they loved it so much. Will then later texted me on our way home saying, "Hey Mum, just checking in on you guys and how your travelling. Just letting you know, I think Chlo and Noah did the dirty last night... I heard them and didn't know if I should say anything. What do you think? Miss yous".

I was shocked to think that Chloe would think to do that when her older brother is upstairs. I texted him back saying, "Hi babe, miss you guys too! You should probably pull her aside privately and say something, I will say something to her as well... Later. Let me know what she says."

2 weeks later and I still don't know what he said. He never texted me back, he had a ski accident and is still down at Perisher! He can't leave because he tore his ACL and has to wait until tomorrow to come home. 

9 months later. Ben and I's baby is due this week.

Turns out my water broke that night. Ben rushed all of us to the hospital, even the kids.. and Emily!! We can't wait for them to see the beauty of life and watch their new sibling/nephew being born. Harry Will and Chelsea saying "Mum's gone into labour, I guess you won't be back in time to see it." Turns out I got a caesarian (c-section) because my body didn't have enough strength this time. There's always a next time for natural birth. I had the same doctor, he's been the same for all my kids. We love it when he says these words, "Congratulations, you now have". **We had a boy!!** We thought we would wait a bit for the name to think of one.

The next day we chose one for him, the name is, **Corey Hudgens**. We can't wait to welcome him into our big family. Will and Chelsea arrived back home just in time to welcome Corey to the family of 9!! We get home and introduce the family to their newest baby sister. I watch Will, Chloe, Harry, Harper, Hannah, and Haley, obsess over Corey.. God, I love my kids.

I should probably tell you how old they are, it's been a while!! So there's my handsome Will, 19, Chloe, 18, Harry, 16, Harper, 14, Hannah, 11, Haley, 8, Mason, 5 & beautiful Corey, 2 days old.
