Hi everybody! this is my first story and i have been really exited to write it, especially post it!I hope you like it!
Jason woke up to a scream. The shriek had obviously come from a young man around the same age as himself, probably one of the people that works with Pipers dad.
Jason was staying at his girlfriend's house over the weekend to get a break from his work at camp, so he was getting used to unexpected visitors showing up to speak with Piper's dad. Pipers father, Tristan McLean was a famous actor who starred in heaps of films and was adored by heaps of people.
Jason sat up, groggy and disoriented. He felt different. Not just the 'I've just woken up and I need more sleep' different but a feeling like his body was different, more curved and less stocky. Also his hair. It wasn't the short hair that he had grown used to, it felt as if it touched his lower back. Jason started to freak out. Something had happened during the night and it didn't feel good.
Jason stepped out of bed, put his glasses on and walked over to the mirror, assuring himself that it must of been the shock of the scream that made him feel this way. But when Jason looked the mirror he did a double take and screamed.
His voice was too high as well. Jason stared at his reflection, speechless. No. this was all wrong. it couldn't be. This couldn't have happened. Standing, as a reflection of Jason on the mirror was a skinny waisted, blonde haired, open mouthed ... GIRL.
Someone tapped on his door. "Jason?" The person called. It sounded like the guy who had screamed before. "Are you in there?" Jason dashed to the door and locked it. At the start Jason hadn't found the lock necessary but now he was glad about it.
Nobody could see him like this. It would be too embarrassing and would raise allot of questions. Plus, what would Piper think? him now being like this? how would their relationship work? No. Nobody could see him like this.
The person rattled the door handle. "Jason! You will unlock this door and show yourself!".
Jason felt the familiar wash of giddiness come over him. Now all Jason wanted to do was unlock the door and show himself to the person. But he forced himself not to. This person could not see him. It took a moment but realization dawned on him. That person behind the door had been using charmspeak. The only person that could use charmspeak in this house was piper, therefore the person behind the door must be piper. And, she must have the same problem as him. That would explain the scream, she would have just found out she was a boy. "Let me in!" Piper tried and it worked. Jason walked over to the door, unlocked it and opened it.
The person in the doorway wasn't what he had been expecting. He had been expecting Piper to look exactly as she did as a girl but with short hair. Instead there was a man who had broad shoulders, tufty brown hair with a fringe off to one side, who was about the same size as Jason and had a stunning resemblance to Nico Di Angelo. Minus the fact that Nico would rather be with the dead more than the living and hates being touched.
Piper studied Jason as he had with her. Jason expected her to laugh. To say that he looks stupid. To break up with him. Instead, she stared at him straight in the face and said "gods, you look like Annabeth." Jason hadn't thought about that but he supposed it would be true. Annabeth would have blonde hair like this, or maybe not... "we need to iris message the other of the seven." "why?" Piper questioned "just trust me."
Piper's voice really unnerved Jason. It was as if she was talking through somebody else with their voice. But Jason couldn't get distracted with stuff like that. If he was right he might have cursed all of the seven chosen demigods that saved the world.
Jason dashed over to his bed to get a torch and some drachmas. On his pillow lay a note. He didn't have time to read it so he shoved it in his pocket for later. Jason and Piper sprinted outside of the house to the hose.
Jason propped the hose up on a plank of wood, turned it on and shone the torch at it. Sure enough a rainbow appeared in the mist of the hose. "Oh Iris, Goddess of the rainbow, accept my offering" Jason said as he tossed a drachma into the rainbow. "Percy Jackson, Upper East Side Manhattan."
The rainbow shimmered and was replaced by Percy Jackson lying in bed, fast asleep with shoulder length, black hair draped over his back. Jason suppressed a giggle. A giggle? Seriously? being a girl was hard.
"Percy" Jason whispered. Nothing happened. "Percy!" Jason tried again. No response. Piper stepped in and yelled "Percy Jackson you will wake up right now!!!" Percy sat bolt upright and stared at the iris message, breathing heavily.
"Who are you?" he asked and then slapped his hand to his mouth. It must have sounded pretty strange, waking up to find that you sounded like a girl. "Are you...?" "I'm Jason and this is Piper" Jason grimly confirmed, not only to Percy but to himself as well. "How? I mean Jason is a boy and piper is a girl not the other way round. Or is this some kind of trick?"
Piper sighed. "look in a mirror Percy." "Oookay then." Percy hopped out of bed and started towards the mirror. As soon as he saw his reflection Percy stopped dead in his tracks. A look of confusion then horror appeared on his face.
Percy hopped back into bed, shaken, as he asked once again- "H-How?" "I think I might know" Jason replied. Jason asked Percy if he could notify Frank, Hazel and Annabeth about a meeting at camp half blood.
"It will be at around four O'clock. Okay?" "sure." Percy replied as he waved his hand through the Iris message. Once again the rainbow was a normal rainbow "how do you think this happened?" Piper asked Jason. "I'll tell you at the meeting" Jason replied "Now we call Leo."
It took a bit of explaining but Jason and Piper managed to convince Leo that they were really themselves and that they weren't clones. Strangely enough Leo hadn't changed at all. He wasn't a girl and he didn't even seem fazed that they were being called for a meeting when it was six in the morning.
Then again, one of Leos friends was a table named Buford. Leo started eating a pack of Fonzies when Jason waved his hand through the iris message to break the connection.
"I'm cold" Piper said, shivering. Jason hadn't noticed until then but as they spoke wisps of steam curled up from their mouths in the cool morning air. "Let's get changed" Jason agreed, turning the hose off. "I'll lend you some of my clothes" Piper told him as they walked back to the house. "They might fit you better."
It was true that the shirt Jason was wearing was sagging over his shoulders. "And I'll lend you some of mine" "these are too tight now I think about it" Piper admitted.
Jason emerged from his room wearing a Harley Quin shirt and ripped knee jeans that were a bit too tight. Piper was wearing a blue shirt with a skull on it and Jason's faded Jeans. "Fit all right?" Jason asked. "A bit loose but their better than nothing" Piper replied "what about you?" "The jeans are a bit too tight" Jason admitted "But they'll do."
"when should we go to camp half-blood?" Piper asked. "I'll drive us there now" Jason said heading into his room "But let's get ready first." Piper went to write her father as note as Jason collected anything that he might need, like a sword, the note and food. Plus, a shield for if his friends want to kill him after he tells them what he did.
