Chapter 6- Stay In Your Lane Boy

Tyler's POV

Josh went with Chefs Special whilst I went with Mute Math. Josh and I made this decision before we left for tour that every time we got free time we would split up and get to know the bands we were touring with more. It's also just a way to help our social skills.
There was an awkward silence, then Darren decided to be the brace one and break it.
Darren- So, this tour is going well I'd say.
Paul- Yeah it is! Especially Chefs Special! They are really talented!
Roy- Yeah but we can't forget about the star of the show!
They all turn back and look at me, with the exception of Greg, who was driving.
Tod- Yeah you did the best Tyler!
Greg- What about Josh?
Roy- Yeah that back flip was sick!
Tod- You mean sick as frick!
Roy- Totally! I wish I could do that!
Tyler- Y-yeah. Josh practices his backflips a lot. He is really good at it.
Paul- Honestly, you are both very talented. It makes me jealous!
Darren- Dude me too! Josh's drum skills are sick. (AS FRICK)
Greg- Can we talk about how they are a duo band and they still sound better than most bands with four or five people!
Darren- How do you do it?
Tyler- Do what?
Darren- How do you do a band with only two people?
Everyone, except Greg, looked at me with wide eyes like five year olds listening to an adult reading a story.
Tyler- Well, Twenty Øne Piløts wasn't always a duo band. The old members were talented and helped start the band off. Now it's just Josh and I...obviously. It can be stressful in a two man band. But sometimes I find it easier honestly. Just the two of us, no crowd, no drama. Just Josh and I.
Paul- Well, didn't some drama go down between earlier you two?
Paul pointed to the passenger seat of the van. J had forgotten about Brenna being in the van too.
Tyler- Normally we don't but if someone butts in and gets involved drama occurs.
Brenna- Tyler, I know we hate each other but time out and be my friend for like two seconds while I ask you this.
Tyler- W-okay?
Brenna- Answer this honestly, because I think I know the answer.
Tyler- Just ask it.
Brenna- Do you like Josh?
Tyler- Josh is my best friend, of course I...
Brenna- No, no, do you have a crush on him? You clearly didn't want us to date. You didn't give a clear reason as to why either. You are very close and it's clear you have something for him.
Tyler- I, uh, I mean, I don't, no I do, maybe, I don't know.
I looked over at Tod for help but he was on his phone texting. I don't blame him. I don't want to be in this conversation.
Brenna- Tyler you like him. It's obvious.
Tyler- Okay, yeah. I do.
Brenna- That's what I thought. Now don't think that this is some fairytale and I'll just let you have him. He is mine Tyler. Not yours. I'll make sure of that!
Roy- Brenna!
Brenna- What?
Roy- Don't be a bîtch!
Brenna- Excuse me? Darren, control your friend.
There was dead silence.
Brenna- Darren?
Darren- No Brenna, I won't. I brought you along. They let you stay, and you are being a bîtch. You hardly know Josh. You only want to date him because he's the drummer of TØP. You want the fame and attention. Tyler loves Josh for Josh. If anything, Tyler deserves him.
Roy- Go get him Tyler.
Brenna- I hate you all! I will have Josh!
Greg- Brenna, shut the fūck up! Boys. We're here.
Greg stopped the van. I saw Josh get out of CS's van I ran out and gave him a big hug.
"Hey bud!" Josh yelled. "Did you miss me?"
"Yes I did actually!" I laughed.
"Alright love birds, lets get inside." Roy laughed.
I giggled and grabbed Josh's arm.
We walked inside and my heart dropped. I saw her. The woman who causes so much trouble...Miss Drama herself...
