Prince POV

“Bae…” I walked in the room to see Aubriez writing in her diary. “Bae?” I sat on the floor in front of her. I tapped her leg. “Bae?” She looked at me.

“Oh, we’re you talking to me?” I chuckled.

“Yes, you wanna go out tonight?”

“I guess. Where?”

“Wanna go see The Devil Inside?”

“Sure.” I stood up and leaned in for a kiss.

“Love you.” She leaned back and put her hands on my chest. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing but I don’t really know you so… And I can’t say I love you too cause… I don’t.” I was shocked, with those few words my heart had broke. I walked into the front room with Zé and Kaylah. I laid on the couch opposite of them.

“What up Afro Puff!?” Zé said

“Yeah you seem down?”

“I am… The other day at the party I told Bri, I loved her and she said it back.”

“Aww… That’s so sweet!”

“Kaylah shut the fuck up so he can finish!” Kaylah put her hands up.

“Sorry!”

“Then I asked her did she wanna go out tonight and she said yes. So I said love you and tried to give her a kiss. Then she leaned back and said she couldn’t kiss me cause she didn’t know me and she couldn’t say I love you too cause she doesn’t. Sigh Do you know how that made me feel, like just the other day everything was cool then this happens. I don’t know what I’m gonna do.”

“Prince, you gotta make her fall in love with you again… "

“Yeah…” Zé said.

“Just take it slow for now.”

“Thanks y’all.”

So we were watching the movie and I could tell that Bri was scared. I was gonna put my arm around her but… She put the arm rest up and slid in my arms. I whispered in her ear. “Are you okay?”

“Not really… Do I usually like scary movies?!”

“You hate them.” I laughed. She put on a straight face and hit my leg.

“Then why’d you bring me to one?!”

“I’m just kidding…” I smiled. “You love them. Look, I keep my promises.”

“What do you mean?”

“Oh I forgot you don’t remember… Before you lost your memory I promised I would protect you.”

“Oh.”

“So don’t worry I’ll protect you babe.” She smiled.

We began to walk back to the bus until I spotted a Feeny’s Frozen Yogurt. “Want some Frozen Yogurt?”

“Do I like it?”

“Yes. Your favorite is strawberry.”

“Okay.”

“One large Vanilla with chocolate sprinkles and one small strawberry.” I said as I looked at her.

“Not fair! How come you get the big one!?” She said. The lady put our yogurt on the counter I grabbed both of them and sat at a booth against the window.

“You always get the small.” I tried to say with a straight face.

“O- your lying aren’t you?! Smh!”

“But this sorta your first time.” She rolls her eyes. “Is it good?”

“Um?” She took a bite. “It’s yummy!” I laughed.

Aubriez POV

I think I was wrong.

“Babe?” Prince said. I was in deep thought looking out the window. “What you thinking about?” He said taking a bite of yogurt.

“How I was wrong… I mean nothing!” I took another bite of yogurt.

“You’ve been caught! What were you wrong about?”

“Sigh” I sat back in my chair. “I was wrong…” He grabbed my hand.

“Listen, you can tell me anything.” I moved my bangs out my face."

“I was wrong about, you.”

“What about me?”

“That you would be one of those people to take advantage of me since I lost my memory. But, you’re a down to earth, lovable, kind guy that I can trust.” He smiled.

“Look what you did… Gotta fine Mexican nigga like myself blushing!” I giggled. He took my hand and we walked out the store.

Kaylah POV- Back on the bus

“Guys I think we should do something for Prince and Aubriez.”

“Why?” Zé asked.

“Cause he just lost he love!”

“Oh yeah, you know I zone out most of the time.”

“All of the time…” Ray mumbled.

“Heard that Ray.”

“And so did I!” Zé said. She glared at him for a while then whipped her head back around to look at me.

“So what should we do?…”

Aubriez POV

So we’re just walking around downtown and we starred to pass this restaurant until a waiter outside spotted us. “Excuse me, Jacob Perez and Aubriez Thomas?”

“Yeah that’s us.” He said.

“Follow me.” I looked at Prince, he shrugged and took my hand. He lead me to the the booth the waiter had for us.

“Yeah, just to walk down the street and the waiter have a table for us.”

“Yeah.” Then I felt my phone’s short buzzes, I took it out my pocket and it was a text from Kaylah. I smiled.

“Who is it?”

“Kaylah, they set this up for us.”

“Oh, tell them I said thanks.” I texted her back and then looked at Prince. He grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers, I smiled.

We were walking back to the bus as cars raced through the downtown atmosphere. He pulled me close, and wrapped his arms around me. I saw a jewelry store and stopped to look at the display through the window. “That ring is so pretty!”

“Yeah, it is.”

“Speaking of jewelry look at this necklace I found on my dresser…”

“I bought that for you.”

“Really?!” I placed my hand on the pendant. “It’s beautiful!” I hugged him and looked him in the eyes.

“I love you.” He leaned in for a kiss, then time I didn’t stop him. This feels so right! Prince has always had the softest lips. Gasp “Gasp Prince!”

“What’s wrong?!”

“Nothing. I love you too… I remember, I remember everything!” I kissed him and hugged him tightly.

“I’ve missed you Bri…”
