ELIZABETH sat in front of Boyd in an uncomfortable manner, she was hesitant at first when he asked to meet up with her, but she purely thought it was an apologetic gathering. She tapped a single finger on the circular wood coffee table, waiting for him to speak, or would she say, her as she seemed to have been the one to start the conversation.
"How's life?"
"It's been great, Heather and I recently moved in together." Elizabeth raised her eyebrows in fake amusement as she poked a sharp needle right through her beating heart.
"How long have you guys been dating?"
"Well don't get mad, I started dating her a month after you broke our engagement."
"The end of our engagement wasn't something I decided on my own." Elizabeth's hand that was not tapping the table was now clenched into a fist, feeling her tight skin gradually pull away from each other.
"Fine, let's just forget the whole situation, what about a fresh start?"
"It would be highly difficult to forget about the past, but sure whatever." Elizabeth's tone was out of annoyance, every increasing minute her growing anger was going in time with it.
"Alright, well I'm Boyd Holbrook, actor and model."
"Hi there," Elizabeth forced a perfectly straight posture as she smiled tightly, her voice squeaky to imitate an actual caring person "I'm Elizabeth Olsen, actress and model."
"What do you say Elizabeth? Come to the beach with me after this?" Boyd said through a visible smirk, like as if she was to fall in his trap once again.
"I've been to the beach a lot lately, so I'll pass." Elizabeth didn't want to "hang out" with him, it was a big risk to even go with him today.
"What about my hotel room?"
"Boyd, I don't think w - " before Elizabeth had the thought of saying no, Boyd was already stopping her at her words.
"Don't worry, my girlfriend is out shooting so she'll be back when we get there. Plus, we're going as friends, and friends only." Boyd showed a sympathetic smile, almost like he meant the smiles he displayed today. Elizabeth pulled a finger to her bottom lip as she played with it.
"Whatever, I'll go, but your girlfriend better be nice." Elizabeth pointed a straight finger to him, before rolling her eyes.
"Perfect, let's go now." Boyd rushed.
"I'm halfway finished with my latte, chill."
Boyd duh his hand deep into the pockets of his jeans, throwing a twenty dollar note on the table, in the currency New Zealand deals with. He grabbed Elizabeth's wrist as he began to walk away, she looked around as people began to stare and recognise them, she gasped before prying her hand away from his.
"Dude, what the hell."
"I can't wait for you to meet my girlfriend." He was eager for her to meet his significant other, but Elizabeth thought he was anticipating on this way too much.
Elizabeth trailed slowly behind Boyd's rushing body, cutting through people as they walked to his hotel. She didn't like this idea too much, as cameras were heard from a distance, she hid her face with her hand as she continued to follow Boyd until they were at the entrance of a grand hotel. He finally looked behind his shoulder as he gestured for her to follow along into the elevator, where it brought them to the top floor at the penthouse.
"This is the room you're staying at?" She asked, instantly comparing it to her own penthouse.
"Yes." Be simply replied, unlocking the double doors as they opened to a neat and modern penthouse that looked quite similar to Elizabeth's back where she lived.
