Farkle's POV
I was pacing around my room when Lucas came. "So you're gonna tell her?" He asked. "Yeah I mean I really just want her to forgive me but, I can't lie to her anymore" I paused to fix my jacket then continued "Its always been her, not Riley,not Smackle,just her" I said and Lucas smiled. "I'm glad you don't Riley" he says and I roll my eyes and smile. "And I always saw you with Maya for the record " he said. I give him a confused look. "Why?" I asked. "When Maya was upset and couldn't go to Riley she never hesitated to go to you and when everyone thought she liked me you never seemed truly convinced cause you know her and if she really did like me you would try to stop her cause you knew I would pick Riley" he says and I was shocked. I guess he was right I would never let him take Maya and I would always be there for her even if she wasn't mine. I always thought I did that because we were friends but it's because I love her. 'Wow...I actually love someone' I thought. I gotta tell her everything. "Lets go!" I said and we went out the door. We arrived at Riley's and I saw Maya talking to Mrs.Mathew. She nodded and they started putting snacks in a big bowl. "Hey guys perfect timing" Riley says and hugs me and kisses Lucas. "Can you two hang up the streamers?" She asked and we both nodded. We got to work and when we were done we sat on the couch. Maya came and sat down next to me but made sure to keep her distance. Clearly she was still mad at me. "Maya can we please talk?" I beg. "Fine" she says curtly. I stand up and take her hand, she tries to pull away but my grip was firm. I led her to the roof and took a deep breath. "Look, I didn't mean to yell at you its just I thought you were Smackle" I said and looked into her beautiful blue eyes. "Why would you yell at your girlfriend anyway?" She asked. "She's not my girlfriend, we broke up cause I find out she was cheating on me" I explained to her. "Oh Farkle" she whispered and hugs me tightly. I hug her back and kiss the top of her head. She pulls away and looks me in the eyes. "I need to tell you something " she says quietly and for once she seems scared. "What?" I asked confused. "I love you" she said.
Maya's POV
I did it! I told him! I looked at him waiting for him to look at me in disgust but instead he smiles his goofy smile. "I love you too" he said and moved closer to me. He leaned in and without knowing I did too. I closed my eyes and felt soft lips on mine. We moved in sync and it felt like we were the only two people in the world. We stopped and saw fireworks. "Happy New Years!" He said and smiles. "Happy New Years".
