My R

When I was just about to make the drop
Leaving my shoes on the rooftop
Finding someone there with braided hair
Calling out to her as if I cared:
"Hey, please stay. Don't go."

The words just kind of slipped out on that day
I couldn't care less though either way
But it just didn't feel right to see
That someone got there ahead of me
The girl with braided hair told her story
One everyone has heard probably
"Thinking that we were meant to be
I just really wanted them to like me."

I can't believe it! The nerve you have for telling me
To come up here to disappear for such a little thing!
You feel oh-so wronged all because you can't have what you want?
You're lucky that you've never had to lose what you do!
"I'm feeling better now that I have talked it out."
The girl with braided hair said and left with "take care"

"Alright, I'm gonna do it now," I thought
While leaving my shoes on the rooftop
Finding someone there so short and fair
Again calling out to her as if I cared
The girl so short and fair told her story
How in her class she feels so lonely
"Everyone is cold, stealing what I own
My place is no where, I'm alone."

I can't believe it! The nerve you have for telling me
To come up here to disappear for such a little thing!
Against all that, you're still loved so much at home, in fact
There's always hot food waiting for you, too. Is it true?
"I'm hungry, so I guess I'll go on home instead."
The girl so short and fair said and left with "take care"

So just like that, I spoke like a dear friend
To just a few of them and stopped them in the end
While on my own, it's still the same
I can't share my tears nor my pains
With anyone at all

Now for the very first time, I have met
Someone like me stuck in the same mess
Finding her with a gold cardigan
After I've seen quite a few of them
"Coming here for me, I had hoped to cease
All of the bruises that still increase
Everytime I come home, there they will keep
Painting my body 'til I can't breathe."

The words just kind of slipped out on that day
I couldn't care less though either way
But I ended up saying at her knees
Something even I didn't really believe:
"Hey, please stay. Don't go."

What do I do? I can't stop this girl from leaving, too
The truth is I don't have the right to stop her from her doom
But even so, please don't go, just walk away; you know
It hurts too much for me to look at you this way
"Well, then I guess I just won't do it for today."
Dropping her stare, she had said and left with "take care"

There's no one here today surprisingly
Finally I'm alone in peace
No one can get in my way for me
Though no one would by any means
Taking off the cardigan I wear
Undoing the braids up in my hair
Staring down, this girl so short and fair
Jumps to her fate with a "take care."
