"Ladies and gentlemen the spy of the year, May Summers!" The announcer's voice boomed through the concert hall.
I carefully climbed the stage steps holding my floor-length dress just above my feet, I smiled at the blinding flashes of cameras scattered among the crowd. I waved at the roaring audience of familiar faces.
"Miss Summers?" A voice interrupted.
"MISS SUMMERS?!!"
I snapped back to reality to find my physics teacher staring at me through his spectacles.
"Yes?" I answer.
"I asked you a question!" He growled.
"Can you repeat?" I ask.
He shakes his head and lets out a frustrated sigh as he moves on to someone else. Here I was, two months into sophmore year and I was already spacing out. I look over at Marie, my Best friend and Partner in crime.
She lifts a brow, rests her head on her hand and flutters her dark lashes. I jingle my charm bracelet and sigh, she smiles with a gleamy look in her green eyes, I raise a brow and she nods. That's the signal.
"Mr?" I politely raise my hand.
"Yes?" He sighs at the sound of my voice.
"May I be excused to the bathroom?" I bat my lashes.
He nods reluctantly.
I reach the Janitor's closet at the end of the hall, I open the hidden keypad and punch in the code. The transport tube appears. My assignment awaits.........
