"Although I love a good challenge, I don't do politics" I smirk
"C'mon, It'll be fun! why can't you just accept the fact this is the opportunity we've been waiting for?" Marie's jingly voice chimes.
" Because it's not, It's just a coincidence marie" I sigh.
"There are no coincidences, you of all people know that Alyssa, if you refuse to accept the obvious then you leave me no choice."
" My darling, need i remind you, i hold the authority in this team" I laugh.
" Maybe, but at least i am willing to do what needs to be done, although im not so sure about you " The line goes dead.
I roll my eyes. Amateur.
"What are you fighting about now?" Rose sighs.
"Her huge ego." I murmur.
"Are you sure that's the issue here?"
"Who's side are you on?!"
"So what is the issue?" She continues.
"Is it any of your buisness?"
" As a member of this team, yes"
I purse my lips.
"Is it?" Her eyes widen.
"Yes, it is"
"Why?" She squeaks
"That's exactly what I'm going to find out"
"Hello?" Julie's voice fills my ear.
"Why?" I simply ask.
"That's not what you need to be asking"
"Fine, who?"
"Everyone"
"Is the situation that desperate that your'e willing to jeopardize that many agents?"
"Again, your'e asking the wrong questions".
"When?"
"72 hours"
"Where?"
There's a pause.
" Paris."
I didnt need to hear anymore. The mixture of rage and confusion was enough. This was going to happen, there was absolutely no way that I could prevent it. No matter how much I dreaded the day would come. It's here.
"What did she say?" Rose's eyes are filled with worry.
I had no words. I didn't even know what to say.
"It's Here." I whisper.
She stared in disbelief.
"We've got 72 hours."
"Where? With who? How? Why?"
" Your'e asking the wrong questions."
I stand and leave.
