Her green eyes started at him blankly. Then she started laughing hysterically again. He almost gave up. But this was his fault well, kinda. And he wasn't the type of man to let others pay for his mistakes.

"it's your enemies your problems. If you think he's following me then fine I won't leave my perfect life to go with a random stranger ", well her life was far from perfect but that was beside the point.

Offended ," I'm not a random stranger. You princess, slept at my house remember. Oh and made me breakfast then left it cold in the kitchen and left me a love letter in your room "

" That was one night, " ottis made a strange sound." and it's not like we fucked or anything. Plus you have a microwave quit whining" she retorted.

" it was a thank you note.. You know two words only big difference.
Here's what we'll all do.
I'll go about my business as usual, deal with your monkeys I can take care of myself. Just curious though why exactly are you being threatened? "

" That's none of your business," both Ottis and Christopher answered at the same time.

"Okay, whatever now can you leave? I need my beauty sleep like now," checking her watch it was already getting late.
"crap now I'll have to go straight to work,"

"why do you have two jobs anyway " he asked curiously.

"Umm cause some of us actually have to make money for our upkeep. Daddy doesn't dish it out to us."

A dark look crossed his blue eyes turning them a darker shade then his facial expression changed . That was the first time she'd seen any emotion from Lucifer at all. Oh look at that he's human after all. "Now out."

" I'll leave but he's staying" Christopher said with finality.

"I am?"
"He is? "
Yes, he'll be your bodyguard, pay check is on me,"

She laughed" I wasn't planning to pay him. And suit yourselves you'll get bored eventually. " with that she went to her bedroom to change.

She heard them whispering to themselves then her front door banging. Thinking she was finally alone she stepped out to her living room in shorts and a bra.

"Crap,put some clothes on what's wrong with you  americans?" Ottis exclaimed.

"Sorry didn't know you still around , why am I even apologizing it's my damn house. " he feigned a boyish blush . "Shut your eyes then ." She refrained from calling him names cause she was half terrified of him even though he looked like a giant teddy bear.

So you going to follow me around all day ? Following orders from your controlling boss"

Ignoring her offensive remarks he  said , "he's just looking out for you and that's rare so be greatful."

Really some men think they're gods or something,she mattered to herself. She took her yoghurt and stomped back to her bedroom. Sleep evaded her no matter how much she tried. Deciding to just dress up and leave for work ,she picked her house keys pushed her messy hair into a ponytail and left her room.

"Where are you going to ? "

Ignoring him she opened her front door
He continued, Chris said not to let you leave the house at night.
Still ignoring him she gave him a dark glare and left. It was a walking
distance so she didn't really need her car. Plus this was like an exercise for her. And it wasn't that late Ottis and Lucifer could go to hell.

"Hey Edd, "
Hey sweetheart, you're late ,"
Yeah I know, not like I get bonuses for being early ,"
He laughed, of course not our boss keeps it all to himself. Kay get to work, will you  be okay ? I have a date and you owe me so cover for me ."

He was right,she did owe him. Usually he covered her shifts and would even do a double one when she was taking her exams.

If it's a date then get your ass out of here and dress up make an effort. Wear those Nikes I like.

Waving him a kiss she started dusting the counter and counting the cash .
Customers trickled in from 6pm all in a hurry to get home from a long day at work. It was a small supermarket with only 2 people working around the counter and two other attendants that rarely showed up. It was around 9.30pm when her co worker Magdalene came up to her .

She was surprised because they rarely talked. She just assumed the Russian woman was generally a quiet person so she didn't bother her much .

Now radiant knew why she didn't speak much . English clearly wasn't her first language.

Radiant stood up  to see who was giving her co worker the creeps. "Crap!" It was Ottis
You him ?she asked in her heavy accent clearly surprised.

Really she could have asked her first before calling the manager.
Yeah he's been stalking me he has a crush on me."
He wants to crush you ?
No silly, he likes me so he follows me around don't mind him .
Okay ," she actually bought the story .She called the manager to tell  him not to worry.

She hadn't thought ottis would follow her to work ,  there we're less customers now so she stepped outside and bumped right into him
Why the hell are you here, you almost got me fired .well not exactly but that was beside the point.

I told you not to leave the house,so if you don't want me to follow you  around stay put. You're in danger won't let you die on my watch

Whatever, I'm about to leave anyway .
Yeah I'm taking you home you didn't come with your car that was very stupid.

"It's a freaking walking distance, "
she stomped  away.
