"That feels good~" I hummed as my new vampire gave me a back rub
"Why are you making me do this?" she groaned
"You said yourself I can make you do anything, your words not mine" I said as she rubbed all the knots out
"Don't you want to know about the people who are coming for your head?" she said and I blew a raspberry
"Meh, tomorrow maybe, tell me about yourself" I said and I could hear her let out a loud sigh
"Well, I don't know if I told you yet but my name is Amethyst"
"Well Amethyst, where are you from?"
"I'm from northern England"
"Ohhhh~, what happened to your accent?"
"I have been away form home for a long time so I've lost it over that time"
"When was the last time you've been to your home?"
"About 15 years"
"Mmmm, so, I was also wondering, how'd you get that spear of light?" and she got off my back and summoned it in her hand
"I had it before I was a vampire"
"Before?"
"Yes" and she made her spear vanish
"Before I was a vampire myself I was a missionary in northern England, I worked my way up the hierarchy performing deeds that would grant me access to salvation, I took under the training of a holy knight, I forget his name but he was a great teacher. I served under him for a few months and we had a mission to kill a vampire that was living in an old castle. We arrived at midday which was when we assumed he'd be in his coffin sleeping to get ready for a night's feeding but we were so wrong. The second the front doors closed he was after us, he leapt form wall to wall clinging to the surfaces like an insect, I couldn't keep track of him and at one point he flew past me. I heard a shout and I saw my teacher running his sword through the monsters chest, we thought it was dead. We turned our backs for just a moment and the vampire wasn't as dead as we thought. Blood came out of my teachers mouth and eyes and the creature gutted him, I could barely believe what I saw. I cowered against a wall, praying that it would not be real. I still remember it, the black holes it had for eyes with two red dots in the center" and I could feel her heart rate accelerating and she tensed up
"I only came too when it stood over me, it felt like it looked into my very soul and it lifted me up by my arm and it bit" she then held her neck tightly
"It hurt so much, my strength was sapped form me and after it was done it drug me outside and dumped me on the floor. I saw it go back upstairs into it's home and I laid there on the floor until it got dark and it came back. It went out into the dark and I hauled myself up, everything felt different, my formerly brown hair was now white and my eyes were now blood red and I had fangs. I tried to pick up the cross i had around my neck but when I touched it it would burn my skin. I left then, severing all ties to my former friends and now I live the life of a vampire" I then rubbed her head and she looked confused "What happened in the past can't be changed, you shouldn't worry about it so much, try making a better present" I said and she had the beginnings of tears in her eyes and she lunged and hugged me
"There there" I said petting her head
"Time for bed" I said taking off my coat and throwing it to the side
"Where do I sleep?" she asked returning to her usual tone
"Same bed as me" I said jumping into it
"B-B-But-" she said blushing and stuttering
"I normally sleep next to two others but they aren't here right now, I'm used to it" and she nodded and changed into a black nightgown
"Good night" I said as she laid down and I would have let her have half the bed but she snuggled up close and I let her be.
Next Morning
"So, where are we going?" Amethyst said as we went into the car garage of the base
"I'm going to go see my kids, your welcome to come with if you want" I said spinning the car keys on my finger
"I'll join you, which one are we taking?"
"That one"

"Is it fast?" she said as I unlocked the doors
"Honey, this puppy makes more than 780 horsepower, it's a ballistic missile with a radio" I said getting in and she got in the passenger seat. I started it making the engine bellow echo. I drove out the garage and when the road was open I may or may not have used some excessive use of the throttle
"Do you always go like this?" Amethyst said holding the door handle
"Oh you should have seen me when I got it, went through so many back tires that day" and she started fiddling with the radio
"Oh my dear, it would appear we are being followed" I said as the same pair of black cars trailed us
"You think there after you?" she said looking behind us
"Without a doubt" I said and the second the light turned green I buried my foot in the floor and we shot off. amethyst grabbed her seat belt while I quickly turned into a alley and raced into the street on the other side
"And you were worried that I would hit something" I said and she adjusted her hair
"You hit like three people doing that"
"Oops, let's get moving before who ever they were comes back" I said and we continued our way to the hospital. I parked in near the doors so we could run if need and I went up to see my two lovely ladies, they each were on their own beds holding the kids in their arms
"Hello" I said coming in and they both waved at me. I sat next to Maru as she was feeding the baby
"You can come in too" I said as Amethyst slowly came in "Who's this?" Armena said looking as amethyst looked really nervous
"She's my new vampire, say hi they don't bite, well, Armena might" I said as Armena put her kids down and went over to Amethyst. She looked her up and down and even groped her at one point
"Well, it's nice to meet you then" she said and they hugged quickly. She said hi to Maru and we spent about an hour sitting around and that allowed Amethyst to get acquainted with Armena and Maru
"So, did you do the thing where you cut your hand?" Armena asked me and I nodded
"Nice" she said and I leaned back in my chair
"Yeah, had to dodge some fools on the way here but all is well again" I said sucking on a sucker I stole from the jar in the lobby. It all seemed like a normal day, until the windows shattered obviously.
