A week later...
Mal's POV
Ben was about to leave with his parents. "Bye, have fun and I hope you win" he said and kissed me. "Bye Mel, have fun" he said and hugged her. "Love you bye" I said and kissed him. "Love you too" he replied and left. "Yess! No daddy all weekend!" I yelled and we jumped around. He came back in and saw us. We stopped and tried not to smile. "I forgot my phone.... Glad to see you two having fun because I'm gone" he said and chuckled. "Bye Benny" I said and giggled. I kissed him and he left. "Ok let's go pack" I told Mel and we laughed. "E you ready?" I asked walking up the stairs. "Ya I'm waiting for you" she said in the living room. I nodded and went upstairs. I packed my things quickly. I was actually nervous for today. The whole world now knows who and what I am. Will that affect anything? Will people be scared of me? I'm like super nervous now. I called Ben. "Hello?" He asked. "Hey did you leave yet?" I asked. "No, I'm still at the front. My parents are talking to the royals. We're only leaving in about 5 minutes" he replied. "Ok I'm coming outside. I need to talk to you" I said. "Are you okay?" He asked. "Yes, well no, well sorta. That's what I wanted to talk to you about" I said. "Ok I won't leave until I talk to you. I'm waiting outside" he replied and I hung up. I packed the rest of mg stuff and brought my suitcase downstairs. "I have to go talk to Ben. I'll be back in about 5 minutes" I told Evie. "Ok" she replied. I went outside. He ran up to me. The royals and Belle and Adam turned around to see what's happening. He hugged me. "Are you okay?" He asked. "Yes. No. I don't know anymore" I said and he wiped my tears away. "Come" he said and took my hand. We sat down on a bench. "Baby what's wrong?" He asked and put his arm around my shoulder. I rested my head on him. "I don't know. I just feel nervous. Everyone now knows what I am and I'm scared that it will change what everyone thinks of me. I don't know if they'll be scared of me. Or hate me. I'm just scared" I told him. "Babe look at me" he said and took my hands. I looked at him in the eyes. "You are the most amazing person ever. And now that everyone knows the real you nothing will change the fact that you're still amazing. And if they don't get that, well then that's their problem. You're still the same you as everyone knows... Just with some secrets that's all. Nothing will change. You are still the Dove Cameron that everyone knows" he said. I smiled and wiped my tears away. He got up and pulled me up with him. He brought me in for a hug. "You okay now?" He asked. I nodded. "Look at me" he said. I looked up at him still hugging though. "You are always amazing, no matter who you are" he said. I smiled and kissed him. "And if everything I just told you doesn't work, just remember that you have me" he said. I laughed. "I always will. Thank you" I replied and kissed him. It wasn't like any other kiss we have had though. It was more of a 'I believe in you' kiss. We pulled away and I blushed. "That was the best kiss I've ever had" he said. "Me too" I replied and kissed him again. "I love you" he said. "I love you too" I replied. We walked back to his parents. "You okay sweetie?" Belle asked. "I am now" I replied smiling and looked at Ben. "I'm gonna go. I'll see you soon. Bye" I told them. I kissed Ben. "Good luck. We'll be watching" Belle said. I smiled and started walking away. "Good luck Mal" Aurora said. I turned around. "Thanks" I replied and smiled. "Remember what I told you" Ben said. I nodded and went inside. "Let's go girls" I said. "Um... Are you okay? It looks like you were crying" Harry asked. "I'm ok now" I replied and smiled. "M are you sure? Because I can go with Mel if you want to stay and go with Ben" Evie said. "No it has nothing to do with Ben leaving, I'm actually quite happy he's not here to breath down my neck very 2 seconds. *laugh nervously* Don't worry, he fixed me. I'm fine now" I replied. "See you guys tomorrow" Evie said. "Good luck both of you! We'll be watching" Jay said. I smiled and waved. We appeared in my house. "Ok let's start getting ready. Who's picking us up?" I asked.
