Mac POV

Today was kinda a boring ass day, so I decided to go to Aja's house.

Aja's Mom-Hey Mac what are you doing here?

Mac-I came to see Aja.

Aja's Mom-Oh I am so sorry baby she didn't tell you that she left for California yesterday?

Mac-WHAT?

Aja's Mom-Im sorry, her grandmother  has cancer none of us was able to take care of her except Aja.

Mac-Aight whatever.

After I left Aja's house I went back home, sad as fuck and low key mad that she didnt tell me that she was leaving.

Jimmy-Mac Whats wrong with you?

Mac-Aja fucking left without telling me.

Jimmy-Man that sucks, but dont beat yourself up over that.

Mac-I fucking loved her.

Jimmy-I know man. you'll see her again one day.

Mac-When? never.  She aint coming back

On my soul I didn't want Mac to be mad at me for leaving, knowing him he been to my house and gotten the news that I wasnt there. I felt so terrible for doing that to him.

Grandma-Aja you have a phone call.

Aja-Okay I'm coming.

I ran downstairs to get the phone from her and ran back up to my room

Aja-Hey.

??-I miss you.

Aja-Whos this?

?? -Mac.

Aja-How'd you get this number?

Mac-Your mom. Why didnt you tell me you left.

Aja-Because I didn't want you to miss me. Im sorry that I didnt tell you.

Mac-when are you coming back?

Aja-I dont know hopefully when my grandma  feels better..

Mac-I hope so.

A Month Later

When I hoped that my grandma would get better she only gotten worse. You could tell she was sick. She didnt even look like my grandma anymore, she can die anytime now... Earlier this week she was transported to the hospital..I called all of our family and told them that she's on her death bed... On top of that I'm pregnant, me and Mac haven't talked since last month. It felt like I should be the one dying instead of my grandma. She deserves to live.

That night we got a call from the hospital, we all knew what that meant. We all piled up in a cab and went to the hospital.

Aja-Grandma, I'm so sorry.

Grandma-What are you sorry for?

Aja-(silent)

Grandma-See you dont have nothing to be sorry for.

Aja-Grandma im pregnant.

Grandma-I knew it. You  looked different..

Aja's Mom-How could you be pregnant??

Grandma-Ajenai dont worry about it. We all make mistakes.

Aja's Mom-I sent her here to be away from all that happened back home and she gone slip and have sex.

Aja-Mom shut the fuck up!  You dont know shit about me.Grandma can die any second and all you worried about is who I'm fucking.

After I said that It got quiet, well between me and my mom. I dont give a fuck about her. Fuck her. Hours passed and my grandma was up talking to everybody. Then the doctor came in with his clipboard.

Doctor-This is amazing.

Aja's Mom-What?

Doctor-Its gone. The cancer its gone.

Aja's Mom-THANK YOU JESUS.

Doctor-We never had anything happen like this before. She'll be able to leave tomorrow. I suggest she gets some rest.

Grandma-Thank god.

I gave my grandma a big ass hug. While everybody were happy and excited that she didn't die, I dialed Mac's number. It wasn't in service... I tried to see if I dialed the wrong number, no luck... Is he mad at me.?
