The next morning at school everybody was looking at me as if I done something wrong. I tried brushing it off but it only gotten worse. I was on my way to my AP World history class when this girl grabbed my arm.

Aja-Excuse you?

??-Are you Aja?

Aja-Yes.

??-Um. Im Kassi. Jvon's ex girlfriend.

Aja-Hai. I got to go to class.

Kassi-What class do you have?

Aja-World History.

Kassi-Mhmm Jvon got him a smart one. Well that teacher is my uncle so its okay for me to skip in here.

Aja-Okay .

we walked in the class and sat in the back. I grabbed my books, and pencils and waited for  Mr. Littlejohn to give instruction.

Kassi-So about Jvon, we dated my sophomore year here. He was nice at first but he just went all out.

Aja-How? (starts taking notes)

Kassi-He gotten abusive.

Aja-Can we talk about this at lunch?

Kassi-Sure.

At Lunch.

I grabbed a apple and a bottle of water and sat with Kassi at the far end of the cafeteria, so no one would see us together. I needed to get a lot of information about Jvon.

Aja-So you were telling me, he was abusive.

Kassi-(looks around) Yeah. He hit me after this party we went to one night. after that he kept hitting me, up until my parents found out.

Aja-Damn. thats crazy.

Kassi-We were so in love at first but then we fell out so quick. I still have some of the scars.

She got up and showed me every scar, bruise, and cut she had.

Kassi-I'm telling you this now Aja leave him.

Aja-We aren't together anymore.

Kassi-That's not what he thinks. I said the same thing too.

Aja-(face palm) what have I gotten myself into?

Kassi-Just call me sometime ok?

Aja-Aight thanks for telling me.

She wrote her name and number on a piece of paper then left. I didnt want to go to class, I had a lot on my mind so I didn't even go to my next class. I was scared I knew it.

Jvon-Hey Aja.

Aja-(nervous) hi.

Jvon-Where you going?

Aja-To the bathroom.

Jvon-Mhmm. We going to the bathroom. (walks up to her)

Aja-Get off me.

Jvon-Nah. (kisses her)

He pushed me into the janitors closet, locked the door and kissed me.

Aja-Jvon no please. I'm sorry.

Jvon-SHUT THE FUCK UP! (punches her)

I couldn't believe it I was about to get raped in this closet by Jvon. It couldn't be I had to be dreaming.

Mac-AJA WAKE UP.

I woke up and I was in the Cafeteria, Mac sat by me and wrapped his arms around me. I immediately started crying.

Mac-What's wrong?

Aja-Just take me home.

I was crying the whole ride to my house, this dream or whatever it was scared me. when I got in the house everybody was in the livingroom crying.

Mom-Aja we need to talk.

Aja-About what? Why are yall crying?

Dad-Your grandma.

Aja-What happened?

Dad-She has cancer.
