It was just turning 1 a.m when Minnie walked in the door of her warm house. She was greeted by darkness-which she was grateful for. She had stayed out well past her curfew but she was thankful that her mother was sleeping. The door creaked slightly as she slowly closed it and Minnie cringed the whole time, praying that she wouldn't wake her mother. The big wooden door finally came to a shut and she let out a breath when she heard her mothers soft snores emitting from her room.

Creeping up the stairs, she was careful not to step on the noisy ones. She was quickly back in her room with relief filling her. She kicked her flats off and spread out her toes before coming out of the jean jacket she was wearing. After her and Khalif left the party they went to Burger King where they spent about two hours laughing and throwing fries at each other. Then they went to some lake that Minnie didn't know existed. But Khalif had told her he went there all the time. In the few short hours, Minnie had gotten to know him on a new level and she eventually opened up more, too.

Then they went to some small, 24 hour bakery on a street she couldn't pronounce at the time seeing as she was a little hazy from the small amount of liquor she had engaged in. They got big cookies and donuts with sprinkles on them and even a few slices of double chocolate cake. He practically forced her to take a picture with him and she smiled as she recollected the photo in her mind.

She was holding up two sprinkled and chocolate covered donuts, her wide eyes peeping through the holes with duck lips while Khalif hid his mouth with a giant chocolate chip cookie. He even went as far as putting it on his Instagram, which he had like 40,000 followers on. Minnie didn't even have an account. But he only smiled at this when she told him after he asked her for her name so he could tag her.

He captioned it-

"After party. She was the only one invited😎"

The fresh memories were quickly snatched away as she felt her phone vibrate against her thigh-causing her to jump. She pulled it out, squinting her eyes at the only light in her room besides the moon that was shining through the window. It was a text from Khalif.

I feel sick from all those sweets. Your fault.

She couldn't help but chuckle, typing back with a smile.

You loved it though. He was already typing back two seconds later.

Indeed I did. Goodnight nini. She raised an eyebrow at the nickname.

Goodnight Khalif.

It was just then that she noticed that she had a text from an unknown number.

Where are you?

The text was sent two hours ago, and somehow she already knew who it was but she didn't know how he had gotten her number. She was having so much fun with Khalif that she hadn't even looked at her phone once tonight. Maybe Khalif gave it to him. Looking at the time-she saw that it was already 1:15so she reminded herself to text him back in the morning, suddenly feeling utterly exhausted.

The next morning, Minnie was awoken with a dry throat and her phone vibrating harshly. She groaned while sloppily searching for her phone. She squinted at the screen, seeing Shyane's face pop up.

"Yeah." Her voice was rough with sleep as she rolled over on her back.

"Yeah just leave me ass at the party." Shyane's loud voice came in response. Minnie rubbed sleep from her yes while mentally racking her brain to wake up. Realizing what Shyane had just said-she gasped softly. She didn't know her and Khalif would be gone for so long and she thought that he would drop her back off at the party-but Shyane hadn't even crossed her mind once. It seems as if she forgot about everything last night. Just enjoying the laughter pouring from her throat and the wind in her hair when they drove.
