Broken Walls

Chapter 9

Although Chanyeol had learned the truth, Baekhyun still rejected wanting to meet their friends anytime soon. However, Chanyeol's worries had eased a bit after knowing Joonmyun would be helping Baekhyun after the pregnancy was over. After some time, Baekhyun allowed Chanyeol to call the three and explained what had happened. Which resulted in Kyungsoo coming over as soon as he could. Baekhyun did not get mad, luckily.

"I'm glad you decided to confess," Kyungsoo said as he stuffed his mouth with chips that Chanyeol had brought out for him.

"Me too..." Baekhyun mumbled.

"We hadn't seen each other for months and the two of you missed quite some news about us."

"What happened?" Chanyeol asked. He was sitting beside Baekhyun on the sofa.

"Hyeon Jun would be attending kindergarten this year. Jongdae and Minseok hyung managed to get him to attend the kindergarten that Luhan hyung works in."

"That's great. It would be easier for them," Baekhyun said.

"Sehun would be graduating soon so we would hold a party for him."

"That boy is finally on his way to achieving his dreams," Chanyeol chuckled.

"And.." Kyungoo smiled suddenly, "Jongin proposed."

"Oh my gosh! Congratulations!" Baekhyun hugged him.

"We will hold the wedding next month and I hope you can be there."

Chanyeol placed a hand on Baekhyun's shoulder. "Of course he will."

"I have to witness my cousin's happiest occasion," Baekhyun smiled.

"Then it's a promise!" Kyungsoo grinned.

"Would you like to stay for lunch?" Chanyeol asked.

"I can't! I have to get back to work. I told Minseok hyung," Kyungsoo gave a cheeky expression.

"What?" Baekhyun gasped.

"I told him that I wanted to visit you and check how's your pregnancy. Don't worry, I didn't tell him about the other thing."

"Oh."

"I better get going now! Take care!" Kyungsoo stood up and left after their farewells.

"Bye."

Chanyeol heaved a sigh as soon as the door closed. "What do you plan to do?"

"What do you mean?"

"The treatment. Are you going to do it?"

"I will."

Chanyeol broke out a wide smile. "Really? That's great! Baek!"

"I don't want to hurt you or our friends anymore...It's what I can do."

"Thank you Baek."

Unfortunately, Chanyeol recieved a client and had to work again. Baekhyun was left alone at home but he assured that he would be fine. He did not wanted to bother anyone else to take care of him. Baekhyun was in the kitchen making a simple and small lunch for himself. Kyungsoo had called him earlier that he would come by soon as he had gotten the permission from Minseok hyung. Baekhyun expected the former to come anytime soon. Suddenly, he felt a sudden gush of liquid down his legs. He looked down and gasped. It was too soon to have his water broke. He then felt intense pain and he knew that he could be in labour soon.

"Damn it," Baekhyun cursed and hurried to the phone. He dialed for Kyungsoo.

"Hi hyung, I'm reaching soon."
