Jeyta's mother howled out to the rest of the pack, letting them know that they were under attack.
Saygo crouched, her head slinking down towards the soaked-muddy ground. "Jeyta, go now, run, tell the others!" Saygo ordered, Jeyta did as she was told, and ran.
But when she turned to give her mother one last glance before disappearing into the darkness of the forest, Jeyta saw another wolf attack her mother, pinning Saygo to the ground, jaws ready to deliver her mother's killer blow.
Jeyta couldn't watch, she had a sudden feeling of helplessness as she ran away and heard the howls of her mother's last cry, "Jeyta! Run!"....

Those words still echoed through Jeyta's mind as she ran through the forest. Jeyta ran, and ran, until she could run no more, and when she stopped to look around... she had no clue where she was.
The rain had stopped, and Jeyta was at the edge of the forest, near a field full of wild flowers and deer. And... Creatures she'd never seen before.
Suddenly, Jeyta heard a familiar howl from not that far off in the woods.. Was that...?
Another black wolf appeared at the edge of the forest, in the same direction she can come. Surely enough, it was another survivor from her pack, but not just any survivor, her friend Celyss.
"Celyss! Is that really you?!" Jeyta called, the other black pup peered at her.
"Jeyta?!" Celyss called and the two friends bounded for each- other.
"I'm glad I'm not alone anymore" Jeyta whispered, hugging her friend with tears in her eyes.
"Yeah same" Celyss replied, his black fur brushing her dark grey coat.
Suddenly, there was more rustling in the brush, and strangely enough, five more survivors emerged. Jeyta's smile grew larger.
Since Jeyta was the daughter of the former alpha, that would make her now...
"Alpha female" she whispered, as the other black wolves gathered around her and Celyss.
Jeyta perched herself atop a bolder near the edge of the forest, "survivors, we are now reunited after a terrible battle against the timber wolves, but we still stand strong. As the remaining warriors, let's give ourselves a true and stronger name... The Shadow Guild!"
The seven survivors all howled in unison, in honour of their new alpha female, Jeyta.
