Five years ago...
Everything was perfect. The sky was blue, and not a merky grey, the grass was green and not a shrivelled brown, the trees were young and healthy, not old and gnarly, and the continent of Nyriha would have stayed that way, if it weren't for the war that was just about to start. It was five years before the war, five years of freedom left, five years of green grass and non-body scattered ground. Today, was the last day that the packs would ever know to be peaceful, before daybreak tomorrow.
"Mother" whimpered a tiny wolf pup, limping towards her mother. Her mother was a tall, and slim black wolf, her fur a bit ruffled at her neck, but otherwise sleek as night. "Yes Jeyta?" Her mother asked, turning to face the limping pup.
Jeyta winced, gesturing to her wounded paw, which had been cut and was bleeding very badly. The tiny pup whimpered again. "Sshhhh, it's gonna be okay" whispered Jeyta's mother, Saygo soothingly. Jeyta herself was a grey-white wolf pup, while her father was grey-black, and her mother Saygo, a dark-grey.
Saygo licked Jeyta wounded paw, and put two allium flower petals on it.(Allium petals are known for speeding up the healing of wolf wounds). Jeyta looked up great fully at her mother. "Thank you" she whispered, and bounded back outside her sleeping cave to go play with her wolf pup friends again.
But suddenly, there was a loud howling and barking outside, it sounded like someone was being attacked. "Oh no" Saygo's mind went, as she pawed out of the cave to see what the commotion was.
Her eyes widened when she saw it, a timber wolf had entered they're territory, and had killed the alpha.
