"i didn't mean to hurt you."
you told katie in a small voice because you were ashamed of yourself for what had happened and doing the thing you hated most, hurting her. you had gotten really drunk at a party a few nights before and then you and cook had left and took some pills. everything seemed to blur from then but you woke up naked with cook beside you and you had never felt worse because whatever you and katie had going on was important to you, even though it hadn't been official.
"i'm not hurt, i don't give a shit about you."
katie screamed, the words made you flinch but you knew that she was lying and she was deeply hurt. that was how katie handled things, she yelled and lashed out.
"kati-"
"no, i'm done. now fuck off and die."
you did as she wished, walking away from her with tears trailing down your face.
