Status:...I was only with Torchwood for six months.
They say we die early. I was only 18. I didn't even go to college. I was fresh out of high school when they recruited me. Jack and Owen and Tosh. It was just the four of us.
I had a job. For six months.
I was planning on being a mechanic before I joined Torchwood. And that's what I did in Torchwood. I worked on the car and on the guns. And I made things more efficient. I did my job well.
I was only two months into my time at Torchwood when Susie joined Torchwood. A week later Ianto joined. For a time all was good.
Until one fateful day.
-----------------------
I didn't start out normal, like all those fairytales that you hear of. It started out chaotic.
"Jack! The servers crashed" Tosh yelled.
"How bad?" Jack rushed over to her side.
"Pretty bad"
"Alrighty them... Owen, check the medical records. Tosh, Ianto, go through the files and see if anything is missing. Susie..... Where's Susie?" Jack looked around.
"Don't know" Tosh looked at Jack.
"She's sick" I answered. "I can do anything you need"
"Come to my office" I followed Jack to his office. "UNIT has reported some sort of disturbance and they want you to check it out"
I nodded. "Where?"
"It's kinda far from here, but it's still in Cardiff" Jack replied.
"I'll be ok, Jack" He nodded hesitantly in reply. I hit the road once Jack gave me directions. I ended up spending the entire day out, looking for the creature. By the time the sun went down, I had found nothing about any mystery creature. I was hungry, wet, and cold. I scrambled into a small diner and ate dinner.
"You're not from around here, are you?" A man asked.
"No, I'm not" I smiled sweetly at him. "I'm looking for something?"
"A job? A place to start anew? A boyfriend?" We both chuckled.
"No. I'm looking for something that's been disturbing the locals"
"Like a thief? A vandal? A fox?"
"Not sure. That's what I came to investigate" I smiled.
"Well, there's been a few disappearances down by the bay" I looked at him.
"Well then I really must be going" I set some money on the table and dashed out to my car. When I got to the bay, it was completely dark. Out of the corner of my eye I saw something. It was a Weevil, but it was abnormally large. I pulled some sedative spray out of my bag and began to chase it. I chased it about half a mile to a dark intersection. As I stepped out in the intersection, I tripped. Stumbling, I became distracted and lost track of the Weevil. Once I caught my balance, I stood straight and spun around. At this point, I pulled out my phone and called Jack.
"Jack, I lost it"
"What was it?" He demanded
"A weevil. But it wasn't normal. It was huge" I panted. " I almost thought it was something else for a minute"
